Let’s PopInn~

Let's party in Kuantan!

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 09 December 2006.

We finished our very last creative meeting and everything else after that was a free and easy time. We are free to roam around… lepak… sleep and do whatever we felt like doing. I thought of going for a little walk by the beach since it’s just nearby. Dinner time is soon and I didn’t wanna sleep. Little do I know… everyone else thought of the same thing. The moment I step out of my chalet, I saw the guys outside of theirs as well.

When ask, everyone is heading to the beach. Oooo… I am not alone after all. We walk there.. talk and joke around. Not to mention feel some sand and play with some sea water.

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Haha… when things get bored… Loh starts to do some writing on the sand. Yup… velverse marks it’s territory. It isn’t such an easy job. The first few attempt was washed away. But persistant pays off. Yeay~ velverse was here!

Let's Party in Kuantan!

velverse, velverse, velverse… this word was mentioned and I have heard it many times. All are wondering when will the Kuantan post be posted. Some would wonder what sort of pictures I am snapping. Some think my picture have bad composition and practically have nothing in it. When I say… I am using it for some background purposes… they give me this :o “what are you talking about?”. Then again… I am too lazy to give detailed explanation. *snap snap*

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Our stomach start to make noise. We dare not take unnecessary snacks since Prem and Adrian told us, they are bringing us to this place which serves BEST of the BEST stuff. It was quite far away from our hotel. So yes, when we saw this huge Pak Su Restaurant signage, we are damn happy.

At the front of the restaurant, one can see loads and loads of tanks filled with different variety of seafood. Thank god I am not the one ordering. I am quite bad when it comes to options and choices. While Prem is busy ordering what’s cool, the rest of us can’t help but to look around… make faces and snap photos.

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Food arrive quite fast. As a matter of fact… very fast. Before I could finish taking  picture of everyone, we were each presented with the Famous Pak Su Stuff Crab. I must say… IT IS HEAVENLY! The amount of crab meat in this thing… minus t the hassle of cracking up the crab and washing the hand… oh yes, it just adds up to one word… FANTASTIC!

Dish by dish starts to pour on our table. Fried Crab with Salted Egg Yolk, Deep Fried Squid, Fried Prawn with Butter, Steam Fish with Nyonya Sauce and Asparagus with Scallops. We just can’t wait to taste it. I normally don’t agree much on their BEST of the BEST remark… but this… I must agree. The Deep Fried Squid is simply amazing! Lovely and tasty. The crabs, I can never get enough of it. Despite the starter Stuffed Crabs, I still crave for more. It’s really hard to describe how I felt… but one thing for sure, I will be back if I had the chance!

Let's Party in Kuantan!

After a filling dinner, we decided to lepak at some pubs. Nope… no major party and get drunk thing going on tonight. Just a little get together… chit chat, play some pool kinda get together thing. It’s seriously relaxing. Apparently, this joint used to be quite famous and popular and would be full during the weekends. But hemm… I wonder what happened. Anyway… some quiet moments are good. Very very good… as for me, I am dead tired… I head back, fall asleep thinking of what good food is waiting for me tomorrow morning.

What Will I Do

Cagnet - What Will I Do

This is pretty much an old song. A song I love to listen to but I never know the title or who sang this song. I always have this impression that it was some not famous star which someone hardly know of. Not to mention… I used to think it is some Japanese artist who sang this song. I guess I still remember this song coz I heard it from some Japanese show.

I hardly remember what show it was since I just had a glance. But the rythmn and the girl’s voice really really catch my attention. So yes, how found out about this song. Haha… my dad borrow me his laptop for a week to work on something. As usual… I was too boring to just work work and work. So yes, I saw this song folder and started to play the songs inside that folder. And I listen and listen and listen to the long list of song… until suddenly, I heard this familiar tune. TADA!!!! It’s from Cagnet titled What Will I Do.

Awwww.. it’s really a sweet song! I love it :). On my looping list for the next few weeks…

Blades of Glory

Blades of Glory (2007)

Blades of Glory (2007) Rating:

Blades of Glory official site: http://www.bladesofglorymovie.com/

Will Ferrell, it’s been a while since we heard from the man, and when he starts appearing, he just wouldn’t stop. It’s a great thing coz I really think he is kinda funny and he is really cool!

Initially when I first saw the poster, I was way excited. I somehow mistaken Jon Heder as Owen Wilson. I thought to myseld… Ferrell and Wilson! This must be hell of a comedy. But seriously, the poster convince me enough to watch it.

I am really entertained by this movie. The figure skating was excellent. Not to mention the costume, especially Heder’s peacock costume is simply amazing! The best of it all… it really make me laugh.

Spoiler begins here.
———————————————————————————————————————–
The movie starts of by focusing on the World Ice Skating competition. It’s now down to the two rivals, Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) and Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell). They were both known as one of the best men skaters. Jimmy, a graceful and elegant skater. Always have the passion to skate and perform better. In between his routine, clips of how he was adopted from a nearby orphanage when a billionaire, Darren MacElroy (William Fichtner) who loves to breed gold-medalist discovers Jimmy’s skating talent. Under Darren, Jimmy was trained by professionals and live in a luxury world. However, this makes him a little sissy and is very particular about cleanliness.

Chazz on the other side is a sex-addict. His routine is very much difference from Jimmy’s. Chazz normally have a lot of provocative moves and really get the crowd to go along with him. Having no manager or professional trainers, Chazz is pretty much a lone ranger. He normally ends his routine with a dramatic fireworks ending which normally piss Jimmy off.

The results for the competition is announced. Both Chazz and Jimmy tied for the gold. Both were not happy with results. Each thought that their own moves were better. They pushes each other while walking to the stage. The pushing around doesn’t stop and resulted both to fall out from the stage and fight on the floor. While they were fighting, they accidently set the Games mascot on fire. Both Chazz and Jimmy was being was sentence to a lifetime ban from the men’s singles competition.

Upon knowing that Jimmy was banned for life, Darren disowned Jimmy and throw him out of the car. The movie then picks up six months later. Since the ban, Chazz have been skating for a kids show. He takes up the role as an Evil Wizard. He got drunk most of the nights trying to get away with the fact that he was banned.

As for Jimmy, he is seen working for a skate supply shop. He tried his very best to tell his customers what is best for them but was constantly ignored. One day, one of Jimmy’s die hard fans, Hector (Nick Swardson) showed up in the shop where Jimmy is working. Hector then tries to to convince Jimmy to skate once again. At first, Jimmy thought Hector is just stalking him. But when Hector pulls out the rules and regulations about the skating competition, they manage to spot a loophole whereby Jimmy is only banned in the men’s single competition. That means, he could still participate in a pair skating.

Jimmy is all excited over the news and started contacting his old coach (Craig T. Nelson). he tried to ask his coach to find him a female partner but at no vail. While trying to look for a female partner at the kids show Chazz is working on, both of them got off the wrong foot once again. Being drunk and upset over the fact that he just got fired, Chazz fight with Jimmy and both ended up being jailed as they wrecked the show.

Jimmy’s coach then manage to see the footages and clips of their fight through the news and notices that many of their tossing and pulling scenes are similar to the pair skating styles. He thinks Chazz and Jimmy might just work well in the pair skating section. He then bails Chazz and Jimmy out and convince them that it would work and they will build a name for being the first same sex pair skater.

The media is all over the close brother and sister pair Fairchild Van Waldenberg (Amy Poehler) and Stranz Van Waldenberg (Will Arnett). Their parents used to be one of the best pair skaters. After they died from a car accident, Fairchild and Stranz took over where their parents left off has never been defeated in the pair skating competition since then.

The time to register for the pair skating competition is up. Fairchild and Stranz thought they would be the highlight of of the event, Instead, the spotlight was quickly grabbed by Chazz and Jimmy when they decided to step their feet over and join the pair skating competition. Fairchild and Stranz see the threat and starts to plot against Chazz and Jimmy. When they saw Jimmy talking to Katie Van Waldenberg (Jenna Fischer), they started to emotially blackmail her to be a spy. Apparently, Katie’s parents died in the car accident while trying to pick Katie back from her ice skating class.

On the other side, Jimmy’s coach put Chazz and Jimmy to stay together. He wants both of them to create the teamwork spirit and get along well more. Things didn’t start of well. Both were fighting over small stuff.. which includes who sleep where, who sits where, who eats what. Every single thing could just spark a fight. Despite a bad start due to unfamiliar habits, both slowly starts to respect each other.

Jimmy is totally amazed with Chazz’s hair brush. However he is even more curious about the tattoo’s on Chazz body which very much represents the other female ice skaters whom he slept with. Chazz pretty much explains most of the tattoo.. except one. Chazz then asked Jimmy to call Katie and ask her out on a date. Jimmy was reluctant in the first place, but when  Chazz called Katie up and pass it over to Jimmy, he braves himself up and asked her out.

Both went out on a date and Katie have been there supporting Jimmy and Chazz but forced to record their routine and show it to her brother and sister. Looking at the tape, Fairchild and Stranz laughed at how Chazz threw Jimmy out of the ring in their practice routine.

On the day of the competition, Fairchild and Stranz did an amazing perfomance. They manage to get the crowd to cheer for them. It is then the turn for Chazz and Jimmy. Feeling stressed and uneasy and everyone is giving them a weird look, they started with a lousy performance. They were so nervous that at the first jump, Chazz fails to catch Jimmy and he ended up crashing him to the sides. The crowd went silent for a while. They then gave a big cheer to support them. Seeing how people are still reacting and loving them, they continue on and did a fantastic job to secure them a place at the finals.

Both Chazz and Jimmy was happy with what they had done so far. However, Jimmy’s coach told them that, they would have no chance of winning in the finals. They would need the Iron Lotus technique to guarantee them a win. The Iron Lotus is an extremely complicated and dangerous technique to learn and perform. Jimmy’s coach then proceed to show them the video whereby only skater’s from North Korea is crazy enough to perform that technique… which resulted death. Chazz and Jimmy is aware of the consequences whereby one of the partner might be beheaded.

Knowing this is their only chance, they both decided to give it a try and have been training hard to perform the stunt. After months of hard training to perfect their routine, Chazz and Jimmy have become good friends. Fairchild and Stranz saw how close they have become and tries to find way to break up their partnership.

Knowing Jimmy and Katie  is in love, Fairchild and Stranz tirs to blackmail Katie. However, the old trick don’t seems to work anymore. This time, they threaten to handicap Jimmy if she does not help. Fairchild and Stranz asked Katie to lure and sleep with Chazz to breakup their friendship.

The plan started when Katie appears in Chazz’s sex addict meetings. Katie admits she is a sex addict too. In the meeting she tries to provoke Chazz. Later on that night, Katie invites Chazz over to her room. Katie is waiting for Chazz in the room wearing a sexy outfit. Being confused  and a sex addict, Chazz turned up in Katie’s room. Chazz is torn between two sides. He knows what he did was wrong and refuses to sleep with Katie as he know she is Jimmy’s girlfriend. On the other hand, he is too addicted to sex and he just can’t help himself but to fondle Katie.

Jimmy was tricked to go to Katie’s room and saw Chazz fondling Katie’s breast. Being upset and heartbroken, he ran off. Guilty over what has happened, Chazz tries to contact Jimmy through his mobile but at no vail. Chazz tries and tries. There were many scene where Chazz is seen to give up and doesn’t even bother to continue calling Jimmy anymore. However on later scenes, Chazz continues to call Jimmy for the whole night to appologize to Jimmy.

Worried with the fact that what have happen is not enough to break their friendship, Stranz kidnap Chazz. As for Jimmy, he was being handcuffed to a rail in the toilet by Fairchild. Fairchild reveals to Jimmy that Chazz did not sleep with Katie, which is why she would have to kidnap him herself to ensure things happen the right way. After locking Jimmy, Fairchild throw the keys in a rubbish bin nearby. A kid who came into the toilet knocked on the rubbish bin and ran off. Jimmy saw the key lying on the role of tissue paper. Having no choice and is determined to appear on the competition, Jimmy uses his mouth to pull the tissue paper alongside a lot of garbage. This is quite a shocking move as Jimmy is potrayed as someone who is a cleanliness freak.

Stranz kidnap Chazz and lock him in a storage room. Thinking there is no chance for him to escape, Stranz left after he tied Chazz. Not knowing that it is a place for Ice skating shoes storage, Chazz manages to cut of the rope, hop on a new ice skating shoe and skate his way to the stadium. Stranz then notices Chazz has break lose and chase after him. There were lots and lots of of wild goose chase. While chasing after Chazz, Stranz saw a crossbow and starts shooting at Chazz. However it slips and hit on the Games mascot.

The chase continues and ended with Chazz falling in to the thin ice under the bridge. Thinking Chazz has died, Stranz got back to the stadium and started their JFK and Marilyn Monroe’s action on the skating ring. It was a total hit and the audience totally love it.

Jimmy manages to escape and have been waiting for Chazz to appear in the ring. Jimmy then  walks in to the ring alone, having faith that Chazz would appear. Seconds before both of them were disqualified from the event, Chazz appear. Before he joins Jimmy in the show, he shout out from far that he did not slept with Katie. Jimmy shouted back to Chazz telling him that he know what exactly happened.

They both make up and started their robotic act. Their opening moves makes the crowd go crazy. Seeing both of them do such an excellent job, Fairchild pulled her pearl necklace on to the ice. Chazz broke his ankle when he skate pass one of the pearl which enables him to perform the Iron Lotus as Chazz would have to throw Jimmy in to the air. Knowing that, Jimmy suggested to change position with Chazz. Having faith in their friendship, Chazz agrees even  when he knows Jimmy have not practiced any of the moves before.

When Jimmy threw Chazz up in the air, the crowd watch with excitement. They all cheered crazily when Jimmy and Chazz manage to pull through the act. The sucess of the Iron Lotus technique earns Jimmy and Chazz a win. Jimmy manage to patch things up with Katie while the Fairchild and Stranz was arrested for trying to kill Jimmy and Chazz and also hurting the Games mascot.

After receiving their gold medal, Chazz reveals a new tattoo next to the mysterious tattoo which symbolizes Chazz is no long a lone ranger. He now have a partner and that partner is Jimmy. Later, both of them blast off out of the stadium with the rockets from their skates. They both then creates a new sign in the air which shows their first akward move, the crotch grab pose.

The show appears to end after the credits come out. But after a while, there are scenes of hector talking to himself. He is playing with Jimmy and Chazz figures in a doll house. The self conversation was hilarious with hector trying to make fun of how Jimmy didn’t even thank him for looking out for the loophole and now that he has Chazz, he has forgotten him.

———————————————————————————————————————–
Spoiler ends here.

It was a real funny show. I can’t stop laughing. There are some verbal jokes there and then, but it was pretty much the visually funny stuff that get everyone laughing especially Will Ferrell’s expressions. I really think he did a great job. There weren’t much action packed stuff. There isn’t much talking and it really does prove it doesn’t need a real high budget movie to entertain me.

Of course there were many mistakes there and there like the obvious stunts double. The ending scene where Chazz rip of his cloths to show Jimmy his new tattoo, but as they were flying out of the stadium, his cloths were brand new.

Well well, what can I say.. nothing is perfect! Now, this is really a show worth to see if you really wanted a good laugh. A real good one… and I mean it!

Hip Hop in Kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 09 December 2006.

Day 2 was pretty much less tiring after a good sleep. *wink wink* I have a good partner to accompany me. Hehe… I love waking up to the sound of waves. I love the idea that when I wake up I can see a little bit of the beach view through this thin white curtain. Ah…. just so nice.

I practically called and wake everyone else up. Lots of them can’t wake up due to the fact that we party too hard during the night. Er… or I would say they all drank too much. Imagine I would have to call each room a few times. Sorta waited for them in front of my room… and best of all… only Prem is alert enough to go breakfast with me. The others slowly join us as they drag themselves out of the bed.

Breakfast was okay. The food spread, pretty much standard.. but it’s having breakfast while looking at the calm sea and the white sandy beach which pretty much makes things a lot better. Right after breakfast, I head back to room… rest a little, do some sketching while sitting at the balcony facing the beach. Life is wonderful after all~

We then pack up and gather around at the lobby waiting to check out. Yup, we had fun in Kuantan town and we are all set to venture to Cherating. Right after we check out, our journey to Cherating begins. On our way there, we saw really really lots of good stuff… almost 80% of the shops are selling keropok, salted fish… and best of all lekor! I love lekor but amazingly, I never had any while I am there.

We then check in to Holiday Villa Hotel. It was a total different experience. We had the challet with this “kampung” feel room. It’s pretty much cool. Not to mention, I had the whole challet to myself. Yeay… opss… I mean the whole place to me and little kitty~

We throw our stuff in the room… roll around the bed for a while and then head out to look out for good food.

Kuantan is fun!

When I mention seafood overload, I really do mean seafood overload. Lunch is woohoo… Y.U.M.M.Y. We actually sort of try not to eat too much seafood as Prem and Adrian told us, they will bring us to ‘apparently.. THE BEST OF THE BEST” seafood in Kuantan. So yes, lots of vege… of course cook with some seafood in it. I think practically everything on the table have some seafood in it. I must say.. the prawns… woo… I can even eat the shell!

Kuantan is fun!

Burp~ After lunch is always the torturing part! Worst is after such a filling and delicious lunch. For me… I felt like sleeping. But nope… we all gotta go for our final meeting. Hey, it’s not as fun as it looks you see. We gotta work too… but well, if I have to work… I would rather choose to work more freely. At least the mind is much fresher.

Now… what happen after meeting? What is best of the best? What happen that night? La la la… you’ll see~

Let’s party in Kuantan!

My little trip to kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 December 2006.

After the relaxing meeting by the beach, we all head back to our rooms to get some rest and shower before we head out and look for food. Okay, let’s re-phrase… not look for food… as a matter of fact, Prem and Adrian have everything under control. All we ever need to do is get ready, hop on to the cars and tada…. we will be there.

My little trip to Kuantan

I have no idea where we were at. All I know is I see quite a large number of shops by this road all selling grilled seafood. We stopped at this particular shop name Phuket. Yup, I find the name sorta weird. It’s as if I am in Phuket Island. But well, who cares… as long as they serve good food! I am hungry~

Since Prem loves fishing and is the expert in this area, the task to choose what fish and how it’s being cooked is being entrusted to him. All we do… let’s see, sit down.. order our drinks and wait for the food to come. The next step… snap some pictures and then… EAT!!!

No one can believe the amount of stuff we ate that night. I think we ordered almost 4 different type of fish, crabs, seafood tom yam and fried kangkung with squid. So yes, talk about seafood overload. The grill fish is simply amazing. I seriously don’t know what fish is what fish… but they all tasted just so great. The crabs was my favourite. I felt like eating them all and order more. Too bad, that was all that was left in the shop. So… yeah, at least we get to try some.

By the way, did I mention most of the people in Kuantan think I am some Korean chick? Hemm.. yeah, no kidding man. They have been asking me that since I set foot in Kuantan.

My little trip to Kuantan

While we are in Kuantan, we surely and must visit Checker’s. Yes, the one in KL was a branch from the Kuantan one. So yeah, MANDY WAS HERE! It is pretty much more spacious here. Not to mention the ambience and sound system was super cool. We all had fun, sitting around, chit chatting… playing pool and listening to Prem’s mix.

After lepaking in Checker’s, we head back to our hotel whereby our second round begins. According to Prem, the bar at our hotel is pretty happening and loads of youngsters hang out there. Apparently they are very strict when it comes to dresscode, however I manage to get away with that problem… coz they all think I look like Korean and wouldn’t even understand what they were talking about. So yeah… act blur and just walk in!

My little trip to Kuantan

After the continuous drinking session, we all went back to our rooms and knock out. Since I have an extra bed on my room, I sneak in the little kitty doll I stole from Loh’s car. Hemm.. since the little kitty will be sleeping in the car, might as well just adopt him/her for 2 days and share my empty bed. Yawn… I need to sleep… more meeting tomorrow~

My little trip to Kuantan

My little trip to kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 December 2006.

Ah… my very first trip to Kuantan. Haha.. sort of exciting for me since this would officially be the first time I set foot in kuantan (excluding the kijal trip). This is our Flare’s very first Away Day and Prem decided to bring us to his hometown and have some good food while we could breakaway from office environment and have some creative meeting.

We split in 2 cars to go to Kuantan. Adrian went back the night before as he have something else to do back in Kuantan. Prem drove Azli and Zul to Kuantan. As for me…. being the little princess, of course I have the privilege of my nearby neighbour… Loh to pick me up from my house. Since our place is near to the highway to Kuantan… we decided to have breakfast while waiting for them. Amazingly even after our breakfast s session, they guys still never called. We then decided to move on first since Prem would be driving in a very fast manner and would probably catch up with us.

And yes, we stop at one of the stops as Loh needs a ciggie break. True enough… the others join in just like 30 mins later at the stop nearby to Kuantan. By the time we reach Kuantan, we went and pick up Adrian and decided to look out for places to have lunch. Sadly but weirdly, there isn’t much place which is open for lunch. According to the locals (Prem and Adrian), most of the good food only happen at night. Hence we decided to head back to the hotel and just check-in and eat there.

My little trip to Kuantan

Lunch was at Hyatt’s main dining area. There weren’t much people at that point of time. There weren’t much options hence we head for the ala carte menu and ordered what we feel like eating. I would say the food weren’t really great but it wasn’t that bad. Prem, Zul and Adrian have their specialty fried rice which comes with loads of fried chicken and satay. Yummy~ As for Azli, he had the chicken rice. Hehe… yes, Azli loves chicken rice I would say.  I tend to notice he orders chicken rice at most of the places we dine in. Loh tried their Thai Style Chicken. I never gave it a try.. but the looks of it is tempting enough. As for me, Stir Fried Sotong with Spring Onion. Hemm… it tasted quite okay except the fact that it is a little too sweet. I taste sugar! Yup, I dun really like my food to be sweet. Seriously!

Right after lunch, we each head back to our room. Haha… everyone gotta share room… except for the cute me :) Now… that is how you spell luxury when it comes to being the only girl in the office ;) After a short break, we all head to the meeting room and have some small creative meeting.

There were small games to keep everyone participating and alert. It’s a game similar to “Win, Lose or Draw” and I sorta win the game. What shocks me is actually there is a cash prize to it. Wooohooo.. so yeah, I bagged extra cash! Yippie yay~ I am really good at this game… and that gesture guessing game :) I pay attention one you know!

My little trip to Kuantan

After the meeting, we head out to the pub like place next to the beach at our hotel. While rest and relaxing by the beach, we have some small talks and discussions. Yup, ah… the brain function just so well while sipping the chilled pineapple juice, looking at the ocean… focusing on the white sandy beach. Now, I wish I could work from places like this everyday! And this is not even half of what happen on the first day. So yes, stay tune for the part 2. When work is fun and relaxing~

Wonderful Hong Kong~

Made in Hong Kong
Made in Hong Kong
Made in Hong Kong

I am back to summarize my Hong Kong trip before you see it again probably in 1/2 years time. Anyway. Yes… Hong Kong is a fun fun fun place to visit. Many people tell me there isn’t much to see in Hong Kong and 2-3 days is enough to finish visiting the place.

I wonder if they walk too fast, I walk too slow or probably they have been to many other places that Hong Kong seems boring to them… or probably they have been there gazillion times. For me… hemm… a week seems too short. I doubt if I even manage to conquer 20% of what’s in Hong Kong. It’s really not as small as I always thought it would be. But trust me… I guess TVB did manage to cover almost all places in Hong Kong.

Why would I say that? My parents… sister and cousin keep telling me, eh.. one of the TVB shot the movie here.. and here… and here… and there… and there. At the end of probably day 2… I would just say… tell me when u see a spot where none of the shows/movie was shot there. Now that would really interest me.

Of course I didn’t meet Andy Lau in person… sigh.. due to his busy schedules and concert for the 10 years anniversary of Hong Kong returning to China. It’s really a coincidence but happy thing that I am apart of the celebration. It’s really cool to be there at that moment (okay… minus the amount of people).

Lan Kwai Fong is not as er…. empty as I thought it would be. Not to be exact empty… but.. less people. The moment I reach there… it was like a damn happening street, with all the bars and clubs filled with people. Of course we manage to get a place… hang out a moment, take some pics which obviously caught some people’s attention. Hemm… yes… a few people try just so hard to make it in to my photos.

Oh yes, did I mention I was addicted to toys and the hemmm… what do you call that… vending machines that has toys stores in a egg shape capsule. Oh yeah… those are pretty much addictive and I manage to fill my bag full every night with those stuff. So yeah, I have loads and loads of mini figures to decorate my glass shelf. Not to mention I bought a lot of toys.

Of course I can’t miss Hong Kong’s pride, the Ocean Park and Disneyland! Both big parks which got me burn all my calories and for sure fats. Yes, dreams come true for me. Now… if only I get to meet Andy in Disneyland! Double dream come true!

Lantau Island was great. I really enjoy looking at the big buddha. Now.. in Thai, they keep pester me to see the big buddha but I didn’t bother. Now you know why huh?

As for Macau… I totally love it.. love it… love it. It seriously resembles Malacca and I could stay there like forever. Okay… probably not forever. Then again… I think it’s too short of a trip for me to see everything in Macau. I will probably return to visit more and try their food. Portugese food rocks man! Not to mention their famous egg tart and serradura. It’s a shame to say that you have been to Macau but never tried any of these. Then again… one can always blame it on the casinos.

Oh yeah, I am proud to say, I have been to the spot where Goong (Princess Hours) shot their Macau scene. I went to the church where they both got married. Sat at the place where Shin sat while waiting for Chae Gyeung to come with the egg tart. La la la… yes, I am surely a Goong fans huh. Need I say, we really do our research! Don’t play play!

Thai Me Up!

I L.O.V.E Thai!
I L.O.V.E Thai~

Okay… I guess it will be a while then only you will see my Thai post.. hence here are some images of where I’ve been to and spending most of my time doing while I was in Bangkok.

Of course, I spend a lot of time  going to temples and cultural places… equal.. or probably more time lepak-ing in some cool cafe’s. Right… hard to find such cool places in KL for sure. Large amount of time spent on the street searching for street food like Pad Thai and Thai Sausages. Yummy yum yum…

Okay… most nights were allocated for shopping. Shop shop shop till I drop! I mean, right… woman likes to shop. It’s in our blood! er… and some say hormones. Of course I visited most of the markets.. be it night market… weekend market. Hah.. talk about amount of walking I have done for the past week in Bangkok~

Amazingly, I didn’t give tuk tuk a try this time. Why? No offence but some bad drivers give most of the tuk tuk a bad name. And… seriously, this trip.. they really leave quite some bad impression. Why? Hemm… I guess Nicole will tell you a better story! After all… she is good in telling stories.

vel is back!

vel is back

I am finally back! I really had this tiring trip. Fun happy moments, but tiring. I guess it is worst than work. I spend less time sleeping, more time moving around which means less time sitting down.

It was really fun. I had my dream come true, whereby I visited Disneyland. Okay… er… I didn’t get to see Andy in person but I manage to hug his wax figure at Madame Tussauds. Besides that… let’s see, I manage to catch up on the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China.

I am tanned. No kidding… not because I went to Thai. One day in Disneyland will do the trick. I am so tanned. Sigh… say bye bye to my fair skin~ I am broke as well… both Thailand and Hong Kong are shopping paradise. I bought lots of cloths and house deco stuff from thailand and major toy/figurine shopping in Hong Kong!

I wonder when can I replenish my sleep. I am really sleepy and have been yawning… since this morning. Ah… by the way, I miss Nicole now. She went back to Australia dy. Sigh… how come her stay in Malaysia always seems so short! My cuz… come back more often for holidays man!
