I think understand is a commonly misunderstood word. And it irritates me when people take lightly the word understand. Now, a lot of people will say, “I understand, but…”. So when they say they understand and they try to reason out something to counter what they said they understand earlier. Perhaps something understandable is not something acceptable.
January 2012
Mmm… I wonder what will come to mind when we mention chinese tradition food. If you really ask me, when someone mention chinese tradition food… the first thing that comes to my mind is Manchu Han Imperial Feast. *LOL* 😀 Guess I seriously watch too much Hong Kong drama.
But really… I really wonder if someday I could ever try it in my lifetime. Then again, doubt we can get the original version anymore… since some of the dishes are banned as it is deemed cruelty to animal, such as live monkey brain, bear palm and even some exotic animal’s fetus. Well.. I guess the ultimate question is, can I handle the exotic-ness of the food!
But then again, around 320 dishes across 3 days of feast! An average of 100++ dish per day. Haha… I seriously tried like 30 dish a day and my stomach almost exploded!

Now, if you ask me… the second thing that come close to the Manchu Han Imperial Feast would be a more modern food, Dim Sum. Haha… guess I love food that has a large variety and choice, but what I love most is, it comes in small portions bite-sized food served in bamboo steamer basket and small plates.
Then again, of course Dim Sum can never replace Manchu Han Imperial Feast’s position, since Dim Sum is just a snack while the Imperial Feast is a whole feast!
*LOL* As of current, if I order a plate of everything and just have a bite of everything, do you think I can finish all the variety of Dim Sums? I seriously wonder… *mmmm* 😐
Of all the variety, how many type have we tried? Guess someday, I must really list down and see which few I haven’t tried before.

Someone once told me, money can’t buy happiness. But really??
It got me thinking for a bit, and I really wonder. I mean, well.. literally I can’t buy happiness.. but I can buy things that would make me happy. So, what is what?
Hemm… to me, we all don’t need a million dollars to buy things that makes us all happy… but of course, the more money we have… the more things we can buy to makes us happy. Sometimes, it goes as simple as eating somethings we like. I don’t know if it works for everyone, but surely it does work for me.
I get awesomely happy when eating homecook food! Now, I miss my mum’s cooking! Yum! 😉

What choice do I have? Seriously, we do have a choice, just we don’t know how to choose cause probably the both options provided are not what we are looking for.
I guess most of the time, we just want the best of both worlds… which we all seriously know, it will only happen to one in a million people.
Now, give me a chance to choose!
Mmm… I was watching this movie just only and it really makes me wanna visit this place so badly. To begin with, the name given to it is so pretty, “Mirror of Heaven” and some even call it “Heaven on Earth”.
Wow.. wow.. wow, the place is actually Salar de Uyuni at Bolivia. And I never really know Bolivia got such a beautiful place. This really will be in my list of country I wanna visit aside Prague.
I got this from The Daily Mail, and it really looks stunning! OMG… I wanna go there! Really… this is what I call infinate view!

Wooo… look at the large mirror like view during the wet season, and it makes it like we are standing on an infinite glass! The thin layer of water on top of the salt flatbed, makes everything so magical!

During the dry season, when the water is dried up.. the hexagonal shapes of the slat flat left its mark and is simply stunning as well. Ah… I really do fall in love with this place! Somebody save me! Think this will be a place I wanna visit by 2013!
Pictures above are taken from and more pictures at The Daily Mail.

Many times in our life, we wish we could turn back time.
Start over a clean slate.
But we know, no one can actually do that.
In reality, there is no way to turn back time.
So we have to live our life to the fullest.
So we will not regret our life.
Banchan is actually one of the key reason why I enjoy Korean food.
To be honest, not many people I know that dislike it.
Most people I know goes crazy when they see loads of different variety of small portion dishes served in front of us.
To me, this is like a mini version of the Manchu Han Imperial Feast.
It’s especially happy to see the table filled with food, and it is most interesting when you never know what will be served as it really depends on what the restaurant made for the day.
Banchan are normally served in the middle of the table before the main course come and are meant for sharing.
They are served according to number of 3 cheop, 5 cheop, 7 cheop, 9 cheop or 12 cheop, with cheop referring to the small side dishes.
For most of the Korean BBQ restaurant that I visited, they normally serve me with 7 or 9 cheop, while those single meal diner would normally serve 3 cheop. Apparently the more cheop served, the more luxury or higher class the cuisine is.
😊 I guess now I know if the restaurant is high class or not looking at the number of Banchan dish served.
