February 2012

After the long postponement for our Korean BBQ arrangement, which dated back to years ago… we finally did it. Evan is back in town for a short break, and it’s definately PAY BACK time Evan! LOL~
After checking online, we finally decided on DAORAE, the Korean BBQ Restaurant which has quite and amount of franchise. We actually opt for the Sri Hartamas shop since it’s easier to find parking and the nearest to us. LOL… not forgetting, it’s situated above a Korean Mart, where we can do a little “Anyonghaseyo” shopping~ Yeay~
As how I normally enter a Korean restaurant, I’m quickly overwhelmed with the amount of side dishes (Banchan) served. Yeay!! We scored a 9 cheop! Now, normally the more amount of Banchan served… it’s suppose to mean a more luxurious or high class the dining is. Normally ranges from 3, 5, 7, 9 and even 12 cheop, with 12 cheop being the highest number on scale and normally served in Korean Royal Cuisine.
Check out more variety and details of Banchan.

Wow… MEAT!!! Yup, Korean dish is never complete without the BBQ meat and Bibim-bap. And we seriously ordered loads of meat, two porky pork dish… Hangjung sal and Maeun Dweji Gal-bi and a plate of yummy beef… Gal-bi-sal. Oooo… they all taste seriously good. I mean really, what can go wrong with BBQ meat. If the meat is cook to perfection, it’ll taste extremely good even with just light seasoning or even without seasoning it.
And being a Chinese, rice is essential 🙂 and in a Korean restaurant, a Doisot Bibim-bab is the best mixture of both… the korean culture and rice… oh and I nearly forget, veges and mushroom!!! I like totally~
More variety and details of Korean BBQ meat here.

And we’re not done yet. We are accompanied by Kimchi jeon as well as Kimchi jeon-gol. The Kimchi jeon (Kimchi pancake) is simply awesome. Wooo, generoud amount of Kimchi and definately hot hot hot. But the moment the Kimchi jeon-gol (Kimchi hotpot) arrived at our table, all eyes are on it. It tasted awesome and not as hot as the colour may potray… and wow… it comes with Korean noodles! Now we basically completed everything, banchan… bbq meat… kimchi… bibim-bab… noodles… soup 😀 *ahhh* I can finally rub my tummy.

And what completes the meal and meet up would definately be a good chit chat over coffee. Yeay!!! Thanks Evan, for the awesome lunch and get together.

This will be my toy if I was rich .
Why? Cause I have the exact same thought as the designer and founder of Fuseproject, Yves Béhar.
Yes. A phone should be simple. As simple as what it used to be.
Most people has forgotten the very fundamental usage of a phone – calling and texting.

It is really inspiring and love how they combine the concept and art of making a watch ⌚ to the phone.
The watch-belt like keypad design, the watch-making techniques and craftmanship.
What is there to not love about this phone .
The Æsir Æ+Y phone took 3 years to design. It was created in partnership with craftsmen in Switzerland, France and the Netherlands.
Everything was specially design and crafted.
Even the 38 screws were custom created in order to assemble the phone together.
The 18K Gold version is to die for, and it costs around RM130,000.
Since I can’t own one, I will just make do by looking at the pictures.

Guess what, my office always have different flowers. And this week they had this beautiful yellow lily. And I seriously love the colour combination.
Haha… I just love the smells of lily, and the bright yellow colour just manages to steal a glimpse from me! Woo… I LIKE, I LOVE! 😀
Daft Punk x Coca Cola Limited Edition “Club Coke” Bottle – OMG! 😍 love, love, love.
For once, I totally agree that simplicity is da best! 👍
Daft Punk fans, will surely not miss this out since it is the iconic colour of the duo’s helmet during their performances.
I can’t help but to still post this even when I know this was launched a year ago.
I just fell crazily in love with these babies!
The two luxurious and distinctive colour – gold and silver.
Please give me one. I really want one!
Always so disappointing that nice stuff like these is not available in Malaysia 😢.

I always find pasta is something that I can prepare in the shortest time.
I am lazy, and it is the fastest and most versatile dish in my opinion.
Most of the time, I just use what I can find in my fridge and prepare different variety depending what I can find at that point in time.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 1 person
Ingrediants:
8 – 10 pieces popcorn chicken (frozen packed)
1 bunch of spaghetti (I usually measure using the hole of a 500ml empty mineral water bottle)
3 button mushroom
1/2 onion, diced
3 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon of soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1) In a pot, add water, 1 tablespoon of oil, some salt and boil spaghetti for 10mins.
2) On the other hand, add 1 tablespoon of oil and pan fry the popcorn chicken till golden brown in medium fire. Set aside popcorn chicken once ready.
3) Using the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and diced onion in and stir fry till fragrant. Add in mushrooms and sauté or 2 mins and season with soy sauce and pepper.
4) Drain spaghetti and toss it to the pan and stir fry together with mushrooms and onions.
5) Add in the pan friend popcorn chicken earlier and give it a good stir.
6) Cook for 2mins and prepare to serve.

People always say, girl and their dolls are always together. I find it quite true as I still like to play with dolls and figures. Maybe part of me doesn’t wanna grow up. Ok, maybe it’s a little more than just part of me. *giggles*
I never want to grow up. Maybe cause I didn’t really get to play with much dolls and toys when I was a kid. So now, I still have a kid-ish side in me.

This is my very first version of my Girl.ie Dollie collection. Weirdly, this doll was inspired by many many different things. The dress was inspired by the old french style clothings which I really like. I love how the lace ruff which manages to create a dramatic look.
Well, I always love lacey stuff and something dramatic, so enjoy! 🙂
In the year of the dragon, I hope it will bring me all the luck that I need and good fortune as last year wasn’t really in favour for me.
So far, I manage to catch up and spend some quality time with my friends and family.
Also manage to catch a few lion dance performance. Which is really cool!
It’s been a long while since I stood still and watch the full performance.

One of the key reasons I like Chinese New Year is because it is full of energy.
While red may not be my lucky colour, it is enough to get me motivated and started for the year.
Not to mention the bright and yummy mandarin oranges, all the yummy cookies and food, and not forgetting sticky year cake.
But the best of all, it the every energetic lion dance that we can only see it once a year.
It makes me look forward to it every year.
I hope this year is going to be a great year ahead for me.
Let’s hope all my wishes and dreams will come true 🙏. HUAT ah!

The main reason why I love Chinese New Year the most, is a great get together with my parents and of course, the joy of eating my mummy’s delicious homecook food.
In my opinion, my mum and dad is really a good cook. Hehe… and as much as I try to learn, I still can’t seems to achieve the taste of my mum’s cooking. What’s weird is, my mum doesn’t really like to cook. *haha* and yet, she can cook such superb dishes. So imagine if my mum enjoys cooking, think she will cook more amazing dishes!
Oh yeah, aside from those yummy cooking, I enjoy to see how the dishes are being served on the Chinese New Year cutleries whereby my mum will only use it once a year.
*burp* *rub tummy* I feel full and heavy! 😐

Mmm… growing old and forgetful. Think I did this and submitted for the Taken Shop Android Design Contest which I totally forgot to post up.
Well, trying to break away from the norm tradition of black and white, I’m actually looking for something more natural. The concept of this was basically “dream machine”. Yes, something that can makes my dream come true in future~

Hehe… yeay!! Did I mention, I landed myself at the TOP20 finalist. *Weeheee* Although I didn’t win, but it was really fun and nice experience!
Now, I’m one step closer to achieving my dreams 🙂
