I can hardly believe I’m saying this now. When I was in primary school, my very first pen pal was an enthusiastic fan of Take That.
Most of her letters to me were filled with stories about them—who they were, what songs they performed, and much more.
Initially, I was not particularly convinced as I am not a fan.
However, after listening to this song, I must acknowledge that it has become one of my favourite English songs.
The lyrics resonate deeply with me and reflect principles by which I live.
This is the line I told myself every other time to keep myself grounded.
Think we all need to remember this:
This phrase has consistently served as a reminder for me to remain grounded.
It is important for all of us to keep this in mind:
Never forget, where you’ve come here from
Never pretend that it’s all real
Someday, soon this will all be someone else’s dream

Tomorrow marks Malaysia’s National Day, a time to celebrate our unity and independence.
Let us remember those who fought for our freedom.
Never forget, where we’ve come here from. I love you MALAYSIA!
