Kit Kat Café Latte |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
Weee… a limited edition Kit Kat Café Latte, which I manage to get to buy just before it almost finish selling. Yup, all thanks to 7 Eleven near my office. Now, there are 2 packet of chocolate which weighs 17g each. From the outlook, it looks like any other Kit Kat bar. Of course it tasted a little bit more different. True to its name, it has this strong coffee aroma the moment I opened the package. When I break the Kit Kat bar and had a munch, I can seriously taste the strong coffee taste. It really is cool and taste cool, except the fact that I somewhat think the coffee flavour should be a little milder. I am a coffee lover, but I think the coffee flavour somehow overpowered the chocolate bar. Yup, a little milder would do fine.
Where I bought my Kit Kate Café Latte? I got mine at 7 Eleven priced at RM2.50 per box.

Wonka Caramelicious |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
It’s way after Easter, but I must really say, Easter Day chocolates are great! Too bad over here in Malaysia, we don’t really celebrate such occasion. Hence, we don’t really get much Easter chocolates. As for this Wonka Caramelicious, Nicole got it for me from Australia.
This chocolate is actually a product from Nestle. I love the packaging. The colours are so retro, so circus like and attractive. Topped with a purple hat and logo. Haha… I totally fall in love with the “Caramelicious” font type. But I must really say… the stars doesn’t really do well with me.
As stated on the cover of the box, this packaging comes with a Milk Chocolate Egg and 4 Mini Eggs filled with Gooey Caramel. The Milk Chocolate Egg is pretty big. I think 6 to 7 of the mini eggs can make up to the size of the milk chocolate. Unlike the mini eggs, the milk chocolate is hollow. So yeap, it isn’t that sweet or filling.
As for the Mini Eggs filled with Gooey Caramel. I must give credit to the Food Designer cause the actualy product doesn’t have that caramel flowing out from the chocolate. In fact, the caramel are rather little and it’s pretty hard. I am pretty disappointed with portion of the caramel. I really love caramel! Sigh… so yes, I didn’t really have the caramel satisfaction from eating this 4 mini eggs for sure!

Meiji Macadamia Chocolate |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
Place of Purchase: Isetan, KLCC
Price: RM7.90
Chocolates~ Yummie!! In my opinion, chocolates need not be expensive in order to taste good. At times, I would say cheaper chocolates taste way better. Call me weird… but it is true.
Meiji have always been a pioneer in producing tasty snacks. Yup, and our country simply imports loads of them. I must say, I simply adore their Meiji Macadamia Chocolates. It is packed in a marlboro looking like design whereby their prominent colours are red and white with the classic arrow pointing down. A simple looking box with a one-liner I find… funny. It reads Macadamia, called “King of nuts”, is the most valuable in the world.
But nevertheless, I would say it is a what you see is what you get packaging. You will get 12 pieces of chocolates (9 on the top cover of the box and 3 at the side) and yes, a big chuncky piece of macadamia nut.
As for how it taste like… I would say it tasted good. Not really top notch, but for that price… it is considered good. I love how I can feel the big and chuncky macadamia nut. I love how crunchy the nut taste… and how it blends in so well with the chocolate.
Best of all it comes in small pieces… which means… I can just go on munching and munching and munching.. without even noticing I am munching on the next piece. Seriously, I can finish eating this one box in less than 5 minutes. And yes, if you ask me I don’t find it that sweet cause the crunchiness of the macadamia nut practically overcome the sweet taste.
It’s really something worth to chew on if you have cravings for something sweet and crunchy!

Pepperidge Farm: Chocolate Chunk Cookies - Milk Chocolate Macadamia |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
Place of Purchase: Isetan, KLCC
Price: RM9.90
I love cookies! It’s kinda sad that I can never master baking. It seems so difficult and need lots of time to prepare it. Not to mention the cleaning process after the baking. Hence, purchasing it off shelf seems the easiest way. When I went shopping for my normal “stock up” routine, I suddenly saw this clean white paperbag like packaging on the shelf.
Unlike others who tries too hard to just wow you with their vibrant and striking packaging colour, the Pepperidge Farm packaging seems to distinguish itself by just looking clean and neat. Yes, I really love the whiteness of the packaging. Pepperidge Farm seriously comes out with many variety of cookies. So I have been standing there for quite some time, when I finally decided to pick the Pepperidge Farm: Chocolate Chunk Cookies - Milk Chocolate Macadamia (read about their ingrediants and nutrition information here).
I personally love the neat design. A big and prominent logo as branding, product name and just one big product picture that says it all. The yummy visual, classy font type. Woo la la… elegant! But what I am really impressed is, their product shot and their actual product don’t really look that different. Unlike many, the product shot look so big and yummie but the actual product is not even 1/2 of what being shown.
There are 8 pieces of cookie in each packet, 4 pieces in each tray. I must say, each piece of cookie have generous amount of chunky chocolate. Unlike normal chocolate biscuit, the chocolate chunks is soft and melts instantly as you bite them. Mixed together with the roasted macadamia nut chunks, it’s totally perfect.
The aroma of the roasted macadamia… makes it really irresistable. The cookie itself is a little soft. Some might not like the texture of it, but I personally felt it is cool. When you eat the cookie as a whole, you can feel the different texture. The crunchy macadamia nut, soft cookie and melting chocolate. You figure that out yourself.

Firefly Tonics : Wake Up - Peach & Green Tea |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
Bright PINK!! That is my first impression of this Firefly bottle. I think it’s a really well executed bottle. From front to back, top to bottom. I love the classy and neat feel of it. Their font play is really amazing. I especially fall in love with how they blend a nicely shot black and white polaroid treated picture as the main picture. The back of the bottle features short description about the drink and it’s ingrediants and nutritional facts (click here to read about it). I love how they mix and match 2 font type. It makes it feel artistic and natural. Like how someone just scribble on the label. It really make me smile a little when I look at it, cause that is how I always scribble on my sketches and notepads. The Firefly Tonics company have 6 different type of healthy drink. But so far, I only manage to get 4 of it (Yup, you will be seeing more of this review in the near future). So yeah, what exactly is Firefly : Wake Up drink? It’s actually a mixture of Peach & Green Tea drink. According to the label, it is claimed that the drink is made from all natural ingrediants and no added sugar.
The Wake Up drink is reddish in colour. As for the taste, it tasted quite alright. One can really feel that it is made of natural ingrediants. No kidding, it has this distinguish taste which is really different from the local brand can drinks. Best of all, it really isn’t that sweet. So, how well does it keep up to their reputation as a wake up drink? I’m not sure if it’s because it’s way past my sleeping time or what. Coz before I decided to drink this, I haven’t been sleeping for more than 24 hours and I don’t really sleep after a certain amount of hours.Hemm, I guess I will have to try it again someday. During some boring meeting or when I am just plain bored doing nothing.A bottle of 330ml healthy drink that can help you survive over boring meetings, packed in such a beautifully done bottle design cost RM9.90. Yeah, it’s kinda pricey but… I love the bottle is all set to collect them all. Not sure where else you can get the drink, but I got mine at Isetan KLCC.

McD’s Banana Pie |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
Recently, I notice McD’s is actually selling a different version of pie. Riding on the success of their Apple Pie, they recently launch the Banana Pie which kinda substitute my favourite Pineapple Pie.
I was warned that it doesn’t taste as good but that didn’t really stop me. The Banana Pie is packed in the original pillow shaped packaging, of course only the bright and cheerful yellow differentiate it from the Red Apple Pie packaging. I can really say, besides liking the brightness and the cheerful yellow of it… nothing really impresses me. Worst when it comes with this lines that I can never justify the purpose.
Unlike the Apple Pie/Pineapple Pie where you can taste the chunky feel of the fruit, the Banana Pie doesn’t give you that texture. I believe it is because Banana itself is a soft type of fruit. So, if you are looking on biting on some crunchy fruit or taste the fruit texture, one would immediately be disappointed.
Well, I sorta think it really isn’t up to what I expect it to be. Not to mention it doesn’t have a strong Banana taste to it.

Peanut Butter m&m’s |
 |

Taste Review:
Packaging Review:
I love Peanut Butter m&m’s!!!! Maybe because the fact that I can’t get it over here in Malaysia makes me love it that much. Yup, as far as I know, the nearest place to get it is in Singapore. So each time my friends go over to Singapore, I would ask them to buy me 10 packs.
I think I have been spoilt by this Peanut Butter m&m’s. Honestly, ever since I tried them, the normal m&m’s never appeal to me anymore. Why? The Peanut Butter filling really adds taste and tends to compliment well.

Right… it is a little big bigger compared to the normal m&m’s and when you hold it, it’s a little more oily. But yes… it taste damn good! I wish they would distribute and sell some over here!
As for the packaging… I must admit I like the distinct bright red ALOT! From far, one can really recognize the colour. But I must say, if put side by side with a packet of NIPS, one sure would pick up the wrong one.

Krispy Kreme Kraze |
 |

Holmer Simpson likes it. Jimbo have been talking about it. Nicole is all set to promote it. So yes, I should give it a try. I have always been wondering what is thie Krisy Kreme craze is all about.

No… you can’t actually get Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Malaysia. Er… and I wonder why. So… how exactly I get to try them? Yeay… my sweet cousin is sweet enough to buy and delivers it personally to my doorstep when she came back for a visit… er… 3 months ago. (Yeah… I know, backdated. But then… I must really appreciate her effort, right?)

So yeay… I’ve got a box of 6 Original Glazed doughnuts. I like the taste of it being not too sweet and ya… it does look shiny~

Yeay… A box of assorted doughnuts to try out too. See how my cuz is spoiling me with choices. Hemm… I wonder how many kg I would gain from all this doughnuts.
I think the doughnuts are pretty much standard, then again maybe it’s not served warm. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but for sure I wouldn’t go Goo Goo Ga Ga over it.
So yeah, look out for more backdated post. Er… well, it is a must do post since my cousin demand I write about her visit when she came back. And yes… by popular demand… the Bangkok/Hong Kong/Macau trip. I know… it might make you feel a little sleepy~

Qoo Qoo Qoo. |
 |
I buy this can of drink coz it has this cute character on it. Yeah.. I have seen a lot about this character in the Hong Kong magazines. I finally saw the drink on supermarket shelves. As usual it’s never cheap due to the import taxes. Â
I bought the blue one while I was in Phuket trip. It was far cheap than here. I think it’s almost the price of a normal carbonated drink. Well actually I was kinda shocked and amazed when I find out that this brand or drink was from the Coca-Cola Company. Hemm… they surely know how to sell and brand their drinks.
