I tried the new Wall’s Mini Hazelnut Ice Cream after spotting it recently.
Although it’s priced as a luxury treat, I was disappointed that the packaging didn’t match its premium image.
The bright yellow packaging definitely stands out, but it doesn’t really fit the hazelnut vibe.
Same goes for the ice cream—it’s called “Mini Hazelnut”.
But honestly, I couldn’t taste any hazelnut at all.
It just tastes like chocolate-covered vanilla and chocolate ice cream bites.
I was rather disappointed given I am quite a big fan of hazelnuts.
The mini size may also post a bigger problem, as too much surface is coated with chocolate, which in some ways over-powered the hazelnut taste.
I guess it would have been better if it was positioned as Mini Ice Cream Bites.
But nonetheless, it is a good size to control my diet while fulfilling some level of cravings.
Although I’m a big fan of hazelnuts, I found myself a bit disappointed.
The mini size actually presents another issue.
There’s so much chocolate coating that it tends to overpower the hazelnut flavor.
Perhaps these would have been better marketed as Mini Ice Cream Bites.
That said, the small size does help me manage my diet while still satisfying my cravings somewhat.
