Backdated post. Actual event took place on 18 April 2006. Woo… after an expensive lunch, we decided to save our wallet a little. Yes, I can see the hole in my wallet is getting bigger and bigger. Poor me *sob sob*. We decided to go to a so call mamak and eat. Haha… I guess everyone would have seen the pictures of this familiar place till boringz. Then again… they have great food. So, how can I help to control myself to not go there over and over again. I think this time was loh’s first time there. Hehe… As usual, we ordered a lot and a lot and a lot of stuffs once again. Well.. I guess is a norm tradition especially when you go to hawker centre. I dunno others, but it gives me this satisfying or happy feel each time I see a table full of food. I must say this once again… the mutton roast is so yummy~~~~~~~ Help!!! feel like eating mutton roast out of a sudden! |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 18 April 2006. It wasn’t such a good thing. I guess it’s the first time after 9 months of working in my current company that it rained during lunch time and we weren’t able to leave to building. Thus, we will have to eat later, which will be very late since we went down around 1-ish or eat at the hotel. Right! My office is located in a hotel building. Yes I know it sounds weird but well, it isn’t that weird after all.
We decided to dine at Maya Brasserie. It’s a nice place, Well at least I like the black marble walls with the bamboo touch. Best of all big mirror to make it look bigger and not to mention, girls always love mirrors. We all ordered ala carte. I ordered Fettucine cabonara as I have such cravings for italian food. Hehe…. It was alright however I think the sauce was rather thick which makes me feel full very quickly, but I must say, they really put in loads of ingrediants like bacon, mushroom and chicken. Ah… so full.
Loh ordered this Chicken with Sweet Potato. I know… well, it sounds a little weird. I mean the combination. I think it seems weird as I dunno… I never really try this sorta thing but the presentation does look interesting. A cylinder shaped deep fried sweet potato topped with grilled chicken. There were loads of vege and mushroom covering the chicken. I almost felt like swapping food with him! Ah.. yes, the most expensive lunch (to date) in my new company! Backdated post. Actual event took place on 16 April 2006. Time of the month to celebrate some birthdays. Hehe… Yeah…. I just love to celebrate birthdays. Thinking of the new places I will be exposed to.. and not to mention the good food and the good company I am going to get while dining. I believe in order to taste the best food in life, besides good recommendation, there is a lot of factors that determine it. For instances, good companion… I won’t like to dine with someone who eats two piece and say they are full or on diet. I dun like people keep telling me.. this is fattening and lecture me on calories while eating. Good ambience… it’s not like I don’t eat at the roadside stalls and all… I do but then again… there is alot of factor that define the ambience… for instances I dun like rats and roaches as company. Quality food… I dislike eating expensive and food that I felt people who only knows how to cook maggie can do better than that. Last but not least, the mood to eat. Well, I always like to someone to tell me earlier on some outing to eat coz I have this habit of having an idea of what I can create the mood to eat. Yes, if I don’t have the mood to eat, I just can’t eat… but when I do… I can eat like mad. Yah… people that sees me eat plates and plates and plates… hahaha.. you know what I mean! Back to the topic again (yeah, I am good at diverting stories)… it’s Wai Khiong’s birthday and this time around, we celebrated it at a Nak Won Korean Restaurant located at Desa Sri Hartamas. It’s located at some quite quiet place which I have no idea actually any stalls were located there. Well.. the shop is located behind Soda Disco. Yah… in order to park and enter the place, you will have to drive in to the car park located next to Soda. Well… forgive me for not taking any front shots of the shop as we were late for the party. Hahaha… yup, I can conveniently blame it on Jerry as he comes and pick me up late! Yeay~ Well, I guess he is not really in the mood that day as his girlfriend could not make it to the dinner. But well… when we arrive, every arrived and guess what… food is served! Talk about the right timing! Jessy is the organizer for this time birthday dinner. She ordered loads of stuff. We have so much people that we break in to 2 tables. Our table manage to have Charcoal Grilled BBQ beef while Wai Khiong’s table have the lamb as most of the people there doesn’t take beef. The beef was superb. It was tender and the meat absorbs the marinate sauce so well. We have Charcoal Grilled BBQ chicken and Charcoal Grilled BBQ pork as well. Yeah… food was simply fantastic. Everyone simply just can’t have enough of it. But well… like I say, I still prefer the beef to the other meats which well.. I normally prefer pork! The loads of small plates of appertizers makes me go crazy Besides that, Jessy also ordered the Steam Egg. It was somehow unique. It tasted a little like Chawan-mushi. The texture and the filling is almost the same except this one tasted a little lighter. Hehe… not many guys on the table likes this stuff. They say it tasted weird and they are not used to steamed eggs. Everyone of us have our own bowl of Kimchi Beef Soup. I think it is a complimentary dish. It tasted fantastic and I must say… it is the main highlight of the day! Yes… nothing on the table can beat the taste of this soup. The beef taste with the spicy yet a little soury taste. Ah… I simply just love it. I wish they serve extra 3 bowls per pax. They even end the occasion with some traditional Korean dessert. I have no idea what it was… they say it was some rice water. Well, it actually looked and tasted like barley to me. No idea, there isn’t anything I can investigate with as it’s purely water and has nothing inside for me to look around at. Well.. some might like it… some might not. For sure Jerry didn’t enjoy his meal as he was complaining all the way. Well, he’s the type that must have proper meal like rice… and rice kind of person. I don’t know, He doesn’t fancy steamboat, he doesn’t fancy grilling or BBQ stuff, he doesn’t really fancy buffet. Hahaha.. don’t ask me what he likes. I guess he would love Chinese food, since he love to eat rice. Haha… Well… since the night is still early, we then went for second round right behind the restaurant. We went to have drinks at Coffee Bean (right next to Breakers). Yeah… more pictures next post! NAK WON KOREAN RESTAURANT Tel: 03-6201 3004/016-225 9800. Business Hrs: Daily (11am-11pm). |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006. That’s right. We finally make it to the Winter Warmer’s Coffee and Tea House. It’s been a talk and a vision for us to go there to have tea.. since like.. ages ago. Well it remains as a talk only since we always go for late dinner and not to mention this place close rather early for us. We either haven’t finish our dinner or well, we just wasn’t in luck. I totally love the serious english look in at the place. From the wallpaper to the colour scheme. It is totally interesting. Gigi ordered Rose Coffee that comes in a mug that has rose floral on it. The coffee was topped with whipped cream and dried rose bud. Ah… I can smell the rose smell from the place I was sitting. I ordered something more common. Iced peach tea. Well.. it turned out not common at all. Just as my drink arrive I can smell the peach smell over powering other smell. It surely have a very strong peach taste to it. In addition to it, the peach flavoured jellies were so chewy. It gives the drink an extra kick! Brian ordered mix fruit tea. The colour at first look like ribena to me as it was rather purple. It was interesting how it was being served. Eventually the tea was served in a pot. In the cup there were apple cubes with something that seems like syrup. I didn’t actually taste it as I was busy with my own drink. Yummie. We didn’t manage to stay late as the place close rather early (erm.. to our lepaking standards). Yes, they close around 11pm. 🙂 Oh yeah, incase you are wondering about the pinches and the blueblacks. It all really did happen. Yes… the pinching and biting session seriously took place. And the blueblacks.. it does exist (not photoshoped). But well… the blueblack mark was a result of previous pinching sessions from brian. Hahaha… well, to be honest… both have the same amount of blueblacks on their arms. Well.. it always happen. You guys will just have to get used to it as I am totally immuned to the senario and looking at it. So yes… don’t drop your jaws and pop your eyes

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006. A night after work where we decided to head to The Curve to have dinner. It’s been a long while and a long plan… I guess for those who have been following I have mentioned we wanted to have dinner and followed by having english tea for a long time. And yes… 11 April 2006 is the mark of the memorable day.. where we successfully manage to have dinner AND have tea after dinner. Hahaha… me and gigi arrived only to find out that brian was in the car talking on the phone.. just 2 parking lot away. Busy talking and talking on the phone.. he left us waiting and walking around. Obviously he has to be punished and thus he was forced to choose a place for us to dine in. Haha… he quickly pointed to ah Tuan ee’s Place. A Nonya restaurant which serves tasty nonya food. I came here once during my ex-company New Year Dinner. I quite like the surrounding as it is not really noisy and it looks clean. Best of all the warm and welcoming wall colours and the antique wooden decos they have inside. We then each order something to share out. Brian ordered the green curry chicken. They say it tasted a little bit weird. I think it tasted alright except the fact that the ginger smell over powers everything. Well… it does taste very much different from the mamak or chinese style of cooking green curry chicken. Gigi ordered the stir fried long beans with sambal belacan. Which in my opinion taste the best of all the dishes we ordered. I ordered the Chai Po egg. It tasted like normal Chai Po egg… except the fact that they put too much pepper in it. But I must really credit on them putting a dash of sesame oil to bring out the aroma. Ah….. lovely ah Tuan ee’s Place address: Tel: 03-7710 0603). |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 9 April 2006. Well, as I mention in the previous post, we ended our Malacca tour early because we have something else to do. That’s right, we are back to have a farewell dinner with Evan. Yes, obviously the night didn’t end with us just going back, unpack and sleep. Hahaha…. Evan is going to work in the States for like… well supposedly one month.. but then… things might change. He might be there for a longer period. Maybe 3-4 months. Therefore, we decided to go to have a big feast at T.G.I.F. Yes, evan always like T.G.I.F’s. Who doesn’t. Thank God It’s Friday!
Everyone ordered their food. Well, for some reasons.. the ever punctual brian was late. Hahaha… Me, evan and gigi arrived and ordered our food. I still haven’t have enough seafood, so I order the Friday’s shrimp with the ultimate mudslide. Ah… yummy.. it tasted like chocolate milkshake but with kahlua and baileys in it with some chocolate chips. Super yummy *slurp*. Gigi obviously dives in to the bacon cheeseburger while evan indulge in to seafood platter *splash*. Brian and Jon decided to dine on something light. Hahaha.. they say they are still full from the trip. Hahaha… Jon just had soup while brian becomes a rabbit munching on his salad.
Burp… we then busy talking and laughing all the way.. telling evan the funny stuffs that happen during the malacca trip. Hahaha… we even showed him funny pictures (some weren’t post here for some reasons). Hahaha… come back soon lah EVAN! and let’s go T.G.I.F’s again! |

We slept late last night although we initially arrived at the hotel room around 12-ish. Yes, everyone queue up and wait for their turns to bath. Hahaha…. while some busy make coffee, eating some freshly baked pineapple tarts that we bought while walking through Jonker Street while waiting for our food to digest. Well… with all the hoo-hah and what not… we all actually doze to sleep at 2 – 3am. Obviously I was a dead person by then when no sound or voice could practically wake me up. Yes, nothing.. except for my alarm clock to wake up the next morning. We woke up early to have breakfast complimentary of the hotel. Yeay… see Brian and Gigi’s morning look! The breakfast wasn’t really great. Maybe it’s the not enough of sleep… but hey… malacca… place with nice food and culture… who needs hotel breakie! We anyhow went down grab something to eat and some coffee and juices. Despite the not-so-okay breakie, the place for us to have our breakie is simply superb. It’s in this garden with a human-made waterfall and lots of chinese feel statues. Which I totally love. I find the environment very cool… and if someday I could afford a big house.. I would surely want a garden like this where I can have my breakfast there…. put a morning bed and roll around~ Ah… that is life~
Food need time to digest.. yes correcto! So we went walking around. Yes, first time I walk around Malacca streets in the morning. There were loads of people selling antique stuffs. Yeah loads of it, from super old magazines, bottles, bowls to old vinyl records. We then walk past the oldest temple in the country, the Cheng Hoon Teng temple. Yes, it it believed to be the oldest temple in Malaysia. Built with no nails at all. Not even a single one. However, this temple has been refurbished few years back due to some parts of the temple is falling apart. However, they still try their very best to restore most of the buildings. Ah… the temple in the morning… it’s simply so quiet and peaceful. Normally this temple is very crowded as it is one of the famous tourist spot as well. Something not to be missed when visiting Malacca. The temple I love to go each time I am in Malacca.
We continue walking from the temple and we came across some cute shops… which weren’t open yet. I wonder what they sell… but well… it doesn’t matter as all we ever do is just walk around and snap pictures here and there. Jon snapped some pictures of me and gigi at the yellow and white stripes background. According to him, it will make us look “thinner”. Yes… I get the hint. Do you? Hahaha.. there is even this tattoo shop with funky drawings on the wall. On the wall, there is 2 doors. One on the right has this “peace fool” image while on the left, it has this tolet door written “Give piss a chance” with the word “Bush”written to the board on the door.
It’s time again to eat. Oooo yeah.. the time has just clocked 10-ish. We all have to continue to eat as Jon dared us that he would bring us to 10 places in Malacca to eat.. but we couldn’t finish. Well… until now, we only eaten our fourth dish. Which is the famous malacca chicken rice ball. This shop is surely some famous shop. On normal days, they have loads of people queing up and it’s seriously hard to get tables around here. By the way, there is not much chance for you to sit down, chit chat and take your own sweet time. There are loads of people waiting right next to you here and there.. as if rushing you to eat faster. But it’s really worth it. The chili sauce… ah…. I WANT MORE~
Wooo… it’s time to walk around to digest food. Yes, everyone looks tired and restless… yes a result of a food trip. You dun get tired from excessive walking and running around but just eating. Everyone decided to walk around to digest a little. And how could we not walk around the famous Stadhuys and the A’Farmosa. Brian is having a hard time climbing up and down the stairs… yeah… due to body aching from paintball activity the day before. Jon is too tired as he slept quite late. Hahaha.. his old friend in Malacca decided to look for him and he oni reach the hotel around 4-ish which means he have too little sleep.
After a long walk… we decided to stop by a stall. Don’t as me where’s it located. I have no idea. Yes, I am lost! Hahahah… okay.. we went to this small stall and decided to cool down after walking in the hot sun. We ordered the famous cendol! Wooo hooo yummy~ It seems like ayam pong teh is also a famous food by the baba nyonya society. So we decided to give it a go. Yes, this place might not sell the best ayam pong teh, but we just wanna try something special. Haha… it does taste rather different. A very strong garlic and onion taste in the thick and rich sauce.
On our way back to the hotel, we manage to stop by a famous designer shop. The Orang Utan Shop. Hehehe… a shop open by local designer, Charles Cham. Hehe… over at this stall, there were many t-shirts and art being sold. Shirts that potrays much about our country. There were even tons of arts for sale. Which looks brilliant. Gigi manage to buy some cute tee’s. While I was just looking around. Yes.. arts… malacca… they just gel in so well. Can I stay there like forever?
We were tired! very tired from walking around and eating. No… I should rephrase… tired from walking around carrying a tummy that grew bigger each time we make a pit stop. We then decided to go back to our hotel and pack our stuffs as the check out time is near. Before we went up and pack our bags, we quickly snap pictures here and there again!
Right after snapping some cool pics around the hotel, we then quickly went up and pack our stuffs. Being real posers, we even decided to jump around and snap some pics before we leave the hotel room. Hehehe… yes that’s right! Pictures.. pictures and more pictures.
We then throw our stuffs in the car and continue to walk to a few galleries. Woo… art galleries is just around. Every corner you turn to… you can never miss those art stuffs. And Malacca is really a place you should go if you want to see loads of art. I can simply call Malacca as Malaysia’s Paris… as you can seriously see loads of art and cultural stuff. The antiques were simply amazing as well. If only I have my camera with me… I could snap like millions of pictures After the walk… we decided to hop in to this cafe called the Coconut House. Unbelieveable, the shop was established since 1985. And has been constantly there. Looking at the floor tiles makes thing just so believeable. The shop got it’s name due to this particular coconut tree growing in the middle of the shop. Well.. at the first glace of the poster they did… I tot I saw Eason Chan… but well… it wasn’t. The ambient of the shop was very simple. They have simple setting. The tables were quite old looking but it still manage to blend in well with the shop.
On top of it, they have racks of old records. But they somehow did add a modern touch to the shop. They actually had an iMac at their counter. To play some songs and all. I guess this is the place we sat down the longest. Yeah…. we seriously took loads of photos (you can see the extra’s in the next post). We manage to take some panoramic pictures which was fun. Everyone move around here and there to get to be repeated in the pictures as many times as possible. We each ordered the famous coconut drink (according to Jon). It was okay… except it brings quite a strong milk taste. Yes…. M.I.L.K! Ermmm something that really wasn’t my cup of tea.
After a long rest at the Coconut House (a very very long rest) we all decided to go to Jalan Kaki Lima and eat Taiwan Mee. Which actually shocked me when Jon suggested. We go all the way to malacca to eat TAIWAN MEE? Haha… well according to Jon, the owner’s wife is a taiwanese and well the signage does write “Taiwan Mee” Hahaha… it is famous for it’s deep fried pork rib noodles and their beef noodles. I totally love the deep fried pork ribs. But the noodles… okay… I have this weird feeling when I eat noodles that is not black. I mean… I dunno… it gives me this weird feeling each time I eat noodles like this. It’s not really soupy and it’s not really dry…. it’s not black. I dunno… everyone enjoy the noodles. And well.. it’s not that it’s not nice… just… I wasn’t used to eating noodles that…. We would have continued but everyone is too tired and some were super full! So… we decided to leave the remaining 2 behind and head back to KL as we have another outing to go. We then head back to KL. We went back and celebrated Evan’s farewell as he will be leaving us to go US for a few months (more details in next posts to come). Yeah… his office sent him over there! How nice! I ALSO WANT!!! Malacca….. oh malacca…. I will be back soon! To visit the eat more stuffs. Yeah according to Jon, there are loads more stuff that we hasn’t try! Yes! Yes…in less than 24 hours and we ate 8 of somewhat Jon’s best recommendations. Bravo!! |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 April 2006. Yahoo… the first food trip and road trip with the gang. Ah… it’s been a while. As a matter of fact… it’s been a very long while. I just love the fact of going out in a group, enjoying and happily eating without worries. Yes… food… just what I need to cheer me up. It’s been a long talk and discussion before this trip actually works. Yeah, everyone is so busy that it has got postponed so many times. Yes, so many times that I lost track. I just know it was supposed to happen right after new year but guess what, we are 2 months backdated. We started our trip quite late that day. Yeah, Brian went to play paintball with his colleagues (some company outing) and we all waited for him. Jon (our honourable walking food guide) went to malacca earlier to visit his auntie so yeah he met us up there. We depart from KL around 4-ish and reached malacca at around 5-ish. Woohoo.. the moment we landed, I can feel the intense excitement. Yeah… I never knew why, I just love malacca so much that it never get me bored going there from time to time. The food, the people, the culture and the arts… just amazing. We walked at Jonker Street for a while before meeting up with Jon right in front of Geographer (the cafe where Sammi and Richie is at in the movie call Mo Mo Tea). Jon then took us to check into our hotel. Ah… luxurious hotel, located just a street behind Jonker Street. How convenient! (Pictures of the hotel to be included in the next post) Our food trip soon started right after we smack our bags in to the hotel. We then headed to the Portugese Settlement to have our dinner. Yes, seafood…. ah… I love it We had like a big curry fish, otak-otak,baked black pepper crabs, fried sotong, kangkung belacan, mee mamak and half a dozen clams. Wooo….. I still felt like rubbing my tummies while writing this now. We then quickly head to some hawker stall at Jalan Bunga Raya to eat the famous Fried Oyster With Eggs as time is seriously running out. By the time we left the Portugese Settlement, it was almost 9.30pm.. and well, stalls in malacca sorta close early. Fooooih… the fried oyster is simply superb. Even gigi who normally dun take a bite ate quite a bit of it. Yeah… it’s best combined with the dessert as the fried oyster can be a little on the spicy side and oily too. Two thumbs up! Hahaha… back to back.. non-stop we jump up to the car and drive straight to Jalan Ong Kim Wee to eat satay celup! Can you believe it, the guys has already stop touching the food saying they were too full already. Sigh…. look down on them except for Brian. Hahahhaa.. well done Brian! We then suppose to go somewhere else to ta pau “yau char kwai” but got lost and seperated from Jon’s friends. So we decided to just head back to the hotel and call it a day. Well… to most people the night stops just there… but well, obviously there is still some inside dramas and fights and chasing here and there. Which well, I guess it takes me years to finish writing this post if I were to put it in details. *No, don’t even think of asking me to write it.* Looking at the title, you should know it’s a food trip! So we talk all about the food and the nice place! |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 07 April 2006. Ah… the night before the long anticipated food trip to malacca. As usual… fridays is a day where we all as a figure of speech would thank god it’s friday. Yeah… so I always do believe in pampering one self every friday. Eat good food… party or hang out a little. Well.. at least at the present state… I believe that is called enjoying life. Who knows, I might change. Who can tell… but well.. good food… that would never change for sure unless I am one day very very sick! Me and Gigi drives up to this place called the rib shop, which has been highly promoted by my boss and fellow colleagues. Everyone told me how good the ribs are… how big the portions is. Ah… so mouth watering that I decided to eat… eat… and eat… all the ribs there. They told me, it would be hard to get tables as it is normally full during dinner time. But well… guess it’s our lucky day as we were practically late as I have some work to do.. and by the time we reach… the place was almost empty except for 2 tables. There were a long list of stuffs on the menu but all I was eyeing on was just the ribs. I mean… well.. I dunno.. I felt weird going to a rib shop ordering fish and chips or whatever nonsense. It’s like just weird… unless I have allergy towards ribs… then maybe. I finally made up my mind.. which normally takes me a long time. Yeah… my mind need to battle with stomach. There is always everything I want to try but my stomach just can’t fill all of it. 🙁 I ordered the barbecue ribs and a cappuccino. Gigi ordered Barbecue ribs with prawns and her favourite latte. Hahaha… I cannot tell you how much Gigi loved the latte here. She keep repeating and telling me how smooth it tasted. As a person who don’t really drink coffee and well… I think I am allergic to it. Yeah no kidding… it gets my heart beating so fast that it hurts my chest badly if I drink strong coffee… so… well… I am not that sure. It just taste like latte… yeah, it’s nice but the smooth part.. I dunno. But I trust Gigi.. haha.. she is a latte lover. Well.. I would think they really have ermmm.. ahhaa funny waiters. They asked me if I wanted dessert. I said, ” No, thank you.” and the waiter replied me “We don’t sell thank you.” and smile. And all I ever do was shocked and looked at him. Okay.. back to the food… Oh yeah, I will start with the sides first. The coselaw was superb. THe dressing is so rich and thick. Oooo… if you really do have cravings for mayo… this really is your thing! The mash potato.. ah… so thick and smooth. Yes… very smooth… it melts in the mouth like almost that instant you put it in your mouth. AH… the milk and butter taste in the potatoes topped with the barbecue sauce from the ribs.. *oh so heavenly* There were a generous amount of ribs. It was mrinated to perfection. Ah…. I can feel the barbecue sauce in every single bite of the ribs. HELP ME!!!! Well… the rib shop is actually located next to the wine shop, which is linked to the rib shop to allow customers to select their choices of wines to be enjoyed together with their meals, for a more sensational dining feel to their satisfaction.

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 27 May 2006.
Birthday, and more birthday celebrations.
This time around, it’s Jane aka. bunny’s 🐰 birthday, and we decided to try out Mongolian cuisine.
Shirley recommended this place since she heard many good reviews and personally tried a few of the dishes here.
This is actually my first time trying out Mongolian dishes and I guess there is always a first time to everything.
I was greeted by a big red signboard stated Inner Mongolia Restaurant when I got down from my car.
From the outlook, it seems more like a China Chinese restaurant and it got me even more curious.
Many thoughts float by, as I started to wonder what Mongolian food taste like.
The closest to my imagination was the drama series like Genghis Khan but never actually tried any before.
All I know was they are famous for their lambs and muttons dishes.
The way you see these dishes being cooked on TV is no joke!
We ordered their famous Mongolian Hotpot.
It is a dish where you cook the thinly sliced frozen meat and briefly cook in the hotpot (we in Malaysia called it steamboat). The meat is then dipped in this special sauce that is so fragrant. It’s called Qi Xing Xiao Liao (Seven Stars).
According to the waitress, the sauce is made of sesame paste, chopped leeks, fermented bean curd, chili oil, and some other ingredients.
The tender meat taste just so good together with the sauce.
The best part is when they allow you to add in pounded chili sauce if you want spicy food!
We ordered a mix hotpot as some of the people couldn’t take spicy food.
We ordered the Stir Fry 3 Type Mushroom 🍄 as Jane loves vegetables 😙.
On top of that we order Roasted Lamb Shank, which in my opinion it tasted like a mixture in between rendang and tandoori.
I must say the meat is amazing as it is so tender and it just melts in the mouth.
Chris kept recommending us to try the Roasted Meatballs, he mentioned he could eat a few bowl of rice with this dish.
Shirley was quick to stop him which creates a good laugh for everyone when they looked at Chris’s innocent and sad face 😥.
In the end, we ordered a few more small side dishes as desserts and snacks.
We ordered their Spring Onion Pastry which taste and feel just like roti canai.
It is very light and fluffy and is well seasoned.
The spring onion taste is also very fragrant.
The Chopped Spring Onions with Egg Pancake had a much stronger taste which some may not like.
The amount of spring onions are also so much more than the spring onion pastry.
We ordered a sweet pastry as dessert which I have no idea what it was.
It was an instant hit among the gang. Everyone loved it!
From its taste, it feels like red bean paste wrapped with sweet potato, which was then deep fried.
It tasted so good and crunchy, but we are glad it is not that sweet. The sweetness is just all right.
Our stomach capacity were totally maxed out but everyone agrees that it was a yummy dinner.
