We ignored pokemon go launch and go catch our own FOODIEMON GO, yup.. gonna eat them all. FOODIEMON GO NO. 1 – 3. Our food hunting and eating begins. I counted we had like 31 stuff that was chucked into our stomachs in this 1 day foodtrip. Some were duplicates.. cause we got different recommendations and we decided to test and battle it out! Now my friends.. may I present to you the first 3 dish. Herbal duck noodles.. both the dried a soup version. My personal favourite would be the dry type, simply because I can taste the herbal soup in its original state. Wanton is another thing I order without fail each time I am here. FOODIEMON GO NO. 5 – This my friends.. used to be da bomb. Like literally a ticking bomb that will explodes in the mouth. When served hot.. the crispy yam outer skin but soft on the inside with bbq pork. Like.. what could be better than that? Too bad it was a huge disappointment. FOODIEMON GO NO. 17 and 18 – I'm not sure if I am the only one wondering where they got the name and funnily they used a white rabbit in the logo.. which got me thinking of its relevancy. An inside joke maybe. One think I can be sure of.. their innovation being tye first drive thru taufufa shop and its superb taufufa and soya bean milk quality is definitely no joke. FOODIEMON GO NO. 19 – Beansprout.. while it's really really simple to make, requires skills as precise timing to blench it is require to maintain it's crunchiness. At the same time.. having good quality beansprout is the key. Not many places produce quality beansprout like in Ipoh. I could but I didn't list the noodles as a seperate dish. Since in general, the beansprout chicken is most of the time eaten either with chicken rice or rice noodles. I'm always a rice person.. but rice noodles or kuey teow in Ipoh is a must have. FOODIEMON GO NO. 29 – Aiyu Jelly is a jelly made from the gels of fig seeds. Little does many people know.. aside from Taiwan, Ipoh is famous for it. It is quite popular especially amongst the cantonese community and is called "wan tau long" and most of the time served with slices of lemon or lime. I still have no clue why it's called such a funny name. When I was a kid, I always think I would feel dizzy after eating it. Salted chicken is a must for me.. simply because I like the salty yet herbal like taste chicken. Coconut shake. Hmmm.. ok, I am torn in between now about this drink. It would have been better if they use better ice cream or coconut ice cream instead of vanilla when blending the coconut as it makes the drink filled with artificial vanilla taste which over kills the coconut drink itself. And I sorta regret adding extra ice cream to it as it strengthen the vanilla taste. The only consolation.. they are out of double scoop ice cream for the day ??.
