Happy 2008 :)

Happy 2008 :)

2008… being a typical chinese, I believe the 8 shall bring good luck. Then again, the circulation of petrol price increasing 20 cent per liter sorta ruin my mood a little (if it’s true… it ruin more of my mood). But then again… I always look forward to a new year.

That means I can archive my pictures and files and start of with a brand new 2008 folder. I can doodle on my new organizer. I can sleep the first day off before I have to work my ass off. I can… I dunno… seems like I can do anything and everything. Anyway… I am tired of making super lots of resolution for this new year.

My only new year’s resolution is… I wanna be a HAPPY person. :)

I hope everyone will enjoy their New Year ;)

My little gingy and me

Gingy loves fries

Like I answer in my previous 12 things I like about christmas meme… I am really into gingerbread man this year. Hemm… I got myself a gingerbread man soft toy. Awww… his tag says his name is hansel. But I prefer calling him gingy. Guess what… he loves fries :)

Little gingy bread

Now… I can’t even resist getting a gingerbread when I saw how cute they were… standing at the Coffee Bean counter. Yup, being kind hearted… I adopt one home. And.. no… I still don’t know how it taste like. Didn’t really have the heart to eat it…. yet~

Little TinPo

TinPo Series 1

Good things does come in small sizes… better still when this comes in 2 inch. Unlike most that toys that I like, I consider this one rather small. For it’s size, I think it is rather expensive… yet, I think they are worth every single cent!

Why? Coz I simply think they look super cute. Especially Oddo and Sync… and Sy & Am… and Frek… and… OMG!! I just want them all. Honestly, now the price isn’t really the main issue. The prob now, I can’t even find some place that sells the complete set of 10 TinPo. :(

Sigh… Life is so unfair. Anyone knows where to find the complete set? Do drop me a comment ya~

Btw, what’s your favourite?

Merry “V”mas

Merry X'mas to you

*Blink blink*

It’s christmas time soon. It’s really unbelieveable. I could still remember how busy I was preparing for my party. The cooking… the decorating. Haha… but it was fun. Best of all… we all design out christmas card.

Everyone made a mark on everyone’s card. We had fun eating… and even designing our own christmas. Ah… so much fun. But I was pretty much packed with work this year. So.. I ain’t organizing any party this year. Instead… I intend to crash at everyone else’s party.

Anyone have any party I could crash into? I’ll bring my own santa’s hat~ please~

Anyway, wish everyone have a great Christmas holiday~ *ho ho ho*

The 12 Things About Christmas

Okay, I always loved Christmas. Although I lead a more boring life these days, I still think Christmas ought to be one of the best day in the year. Why? Mmmm… I’m gonna list 12 reasons why, since Curiosity Killer tagged me.

12 Things of Christmas
1. The glittery ornaments
Ah… I just love how those ornaments look. I really love em. It gives Christmas an extra touch… especially the purple and red ones.

12 Things of Christmas
2. Mistletoe
Good reason to kiss and be kissed. Under the mistletoe… how romantic… how sweet~

 12 Things of Christmas
3. Candycane
Candy… and everything sweet. It taste good and best of all… I can even decorate my x’mas tree with it.

12 Things of Christmas
4. Snowman
Crazy.Sexy.COOL. I always wanted to make one but too bad it doesn’t snow here. Aw… I really want to pinch that cute carrot nose.

12 Things of Christmas
5. Wreath
I used to think it is an easy to do thing. But it never work out for me. Yup… DIY isn’t exactly as easy as they claim to be.

12 Things of Christmas
6. Silver Bells
Jinggle Bell… Jinggle Bell…
What is Christmas without the happy and relaxing bell sound?

12 Things of Christmas
7. Red Socks
Who would have thought people actually put presents in socks. Mr. Bean hangs his used socks as substitute… so… you need a substitute one too?

12 Things of Christmas
8. Lighting
The most important element of all. That is why loads of people I know rush to mall around the whole KL just to see their light up. So even go the extra mile and travel down to Singapore… as for me… I will go even further, if I have the money :)

12 Things of Christmas
9. Gingerbread Man
Never tried any of it before. But amazingly.. I crave for Gingerbread this year. Had a big one at my house… but I really didn’t have the heart to eat it. Hmmm.. wonder how it actually taste like.

12 Things of Christmas
10. Santa Claus
Ho..ho… ho… I just love to listen to that smile. Cause you know a big fat man will get stuck at the chimney… trying to send you presents for being a good spot. Then again… prepare some cookies and milk, or you won’t get presents… er… at least that is what I was told.

12 Things of Christmas
11. Turtle Doves
A symbol of love and care… and that’s what the whole celebration is all about. The first time I actually heard about it was when I’m watching Home Alone. And I fell in love with the turtle doves since then.

12 Things of Christmas
12. Presents
I love to choose Christmas presents. I love to wrap them… I love to think of what ribbon to put. Best of all… I love to receiving presents too. Haha… who doesn’t?

Okay… I practically share something brief about the 12 things that amazes me during Christmas. Hereby passing the Christmas spirit to:

1. Albie
2. May
3. Simple American
4. Elvin
5. Stella

Meiji Macadamia Chocolate

Meiji: Macadamia Chocolate

The Snack Legend

Taste Review: The Snack LegendThe Snack LegendThe Snack Legend
Packaging Review: The Snack LegendThe Snack Legend
Place of Purchase: Isetan, KLCC
Price: RM7.90

Chocolates~ Yummie!! In my opinion, chocolates need not be expensive in order to taste good. At times, I would say cheaper chocolates taste way better. Call me weird… but it is true.

Meiji have always been a pioneer in producing tasty snacks. Yup, and our country simply imports loads of them. I must say, I simply adore their Meiji Macadamia Chocolates. It is packed in a marlboro looking like design whereby their prominent colours are red and white with the classic arrow pointing down. A simple looking box with a one-liner I find… funny. It reads Macadamia, called “King of nuts”, is the most valuable in the world.

But nevertheless, I would say it is a what you see is what you get packaging. You will get 12 pieces of chocolates (9 on the top cover of the box and 3 at the side) and yes, a big chuncky piece of macadamia nut.

As for how it taste like… I would say it tasted good. Not really top notch, but for that price… it is considered good. I love how I can feel the big and chuncky macadamia nut. I love how crunchy the nut taste… and how it blends in so well with the chocolate.

Best of all it comes in small pieces… which means… I can just go on munching and munching and munching.. without even noticing I am munching on the next piece. Seriously, I can finish eating this one box in less than 5 minutes. And  yes, if you ask me I don’t find it that sweet cause the crunchiness of the macadamia nut practically overcome the sweet taste.

It’s really something worth to chew on if you have cravings for something sweet and crunchy!

HEAVEN

Ayumi Hamasaki - HEAVEN

More about Ayu.. everything about Ayu. I can’t help but to dig out her old albums and listen to her song. My whole playlist is all about Ayumi Hamasaki.

I really love this song of hers, “Heaven”. But I seriously prefer the piano version one than the original one. It sorta brings out a more sorrowful tune. I know.. I hardly understand what she was singing but.. her voice is simply captivating and manage to brings out the message.

What can I say… Beautiful people, beautiful song.

Best of both world… maybe more

When you can read while dining

I remember it was a long long time ago since I pick up a book and read. I mean READ. Like I say gazillion times before and am repeating… I am a visual person. I look at pictures and books with no pictures practically bore me to sleep. Yet, here I am, at Hoxe’s Bookstore and Cafe.

Reason why am I here? Food of course. Many of my colleagues talk about their famous chicken rice and grilled chicken. So yes, and since it is like 50 steps away from my office… why not?

Hoxe’s is really a nice and relaxing place for any group of people. If you love to read, there are many shelf full of books, if you can’t live without Internet… this is also a good place for you to get hooked up… if you love to eat… I must say they serve good food. If you love all of the above…. this place spells HEAVEN.

Their Wild Mushroom Soup (RM5.70) is really creamy and thick. If you are thinking of campbell mushroom soup like… then forget it. The mushroom soup here have this rough texture due to the fact that they blend/finely chop the mushrooms. I must say… it’s really rich and filling.

My colleague ordered Spaghetti Cabonara (RM13.80). One can see loads of ham and mushroom served in this dish. Oh yeah, not to mention the amount of creamy sauce… top with lightly toasted garlic bread. Mmmm…

I took my colleague’s recommendation.. the Hoxe’s Grilled Chicken (RM15.60) and I must say… I never regret a single bit of it. It arrived on the table looking like a burger topped with creamy mushroom sauce. I then open it by layers and notice the bottom layer is actually potatoes… the middle layer is actually tomato slices and “siew bak choy” and the top layer… ooo la la… grilled chicken breast.

Honestly… I think the dish is really delicious. Except I still find my first encounter of “siew bak choy” in western cruisine a little… er… how do I put it. WEIRD in a good way. It just never cross my mind.

Not forgetting my Cafe Latte (RM5.00). Ah… what a lovely lunch. Now… I feel like sleeping in my office.
