Haha… I keep craving food! Only the best, of course. I LOVE chocolates. They are my favorite; and every time I eat one, it makes me feel happy. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s a sugar rush. But I doubt it since coke or other soft drinks doesn’t give me the same effect.

The way you eat chocolate can affect your mood, but that’s not the focus of this entry. I’ll keep it for discussion in a future post.

Yes, my parents brought me some lovely chocolates from the airport. They went on holiday again, but didn’t bring anything back from China. Apparently, Mum said I wouldn’t have liked the things there. Honestly, I’m not too bothered. As long as there are chocolates, I’m happy. Sure, you could probably get these anywhere, but since they’re from Mum and Dad, they always seem to taste better.

For the first time, I finally have a chance to compare the four types of chocolate in the box. Yay! I’ll rank them from the most delicious to the least.

Lindt Petits Desserts: Crème Brûlée
To my taste buds, this chocolate stands out from the rest. The outer layer is a thin shell that melted as soon as I picked it up. So if you don’t want a melted treat, be sure to cool your hands first! Looking at it now, it actually resembles an egg tart, and its flavor is similar too. The center is soft and creamy, with a pronounced milky taste and some small, nutty bits—though I’m not quite sure what they are.

Lindt Petits Desserts: Brownie
When I first opened the box and saw this chocolate, it honestly looked like the ugliest one of the bunch. Seriously, just compare it to the others which seemed carefully crafted. This one… well, it just gave me a “simply whack” feeling. But, as my mom always says, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” I guess that applies to chocolates too. It actually tasted great. It had a brownie-like texture with bits of nuts throughout. Interestingly, it also seemed to have a hint of alcohol, which really gave it an extra kick.

Lindt Petits Desserts: Tiramisu
Mmmm… tiramisu. My first thought was that it should be soft with a touch of alcohol flavor, light and fluffy. However, I ended up disappointed—the coffee wasn’t strong enough to bring out any excitement, and it lacked that expected softness and fluffiness. In the end, it tasted just like an ordinary coffee chocolate. Still, I have to give credit for the attention to detail; all the pieces looked exactly alike.

Lindt Petits Desserts: Tiramisu
At first glance, this is the most interesting chocolate in the box. It disappeared quickly when offered. I think they all really love nuts. It has a thick outer layer similar to that of the Crème Brûlée ones. However, it’s a little different as it had hazelnut cream inside and a topping of chopped hazelnuts. Although it looks appealing, the taste is pretty ordinary, much like other hazelnut chocolates.
