Backdated post. Actual event took place on 09 December 2006.
Day 2 was pretty much less tiring after a good sleep. *wink wink* I have a good partner to accompany me. Hehe… I love waking up to the sound of waves. I love the idea that when I wake up I can see a little bit of the beach view through this thin white curtain. Ah…. just so nice.
I practically called and wake everyone else up. Lots of them can’t wake up due to the fact that we party too hard during the night. Er… or I would say they all drank too much. Imagine I would have to call each room a few times. Sorta waited for them in front of my room… and best of all… only Prem is alert enough to go breakfast with me. The others slowly join us as they drag themselves out of the bed.
Breakfast was okay. The food spread, pretty much standard.. but it’s having breakfast while looking at the calm sea and the white sandy beach which pretty much makes things a lot better. Right after breakfast, I head back to room… rest a little, do some sketching while sitting at the balcony facing the beach. Life is wonderful after all~
We then pack up and gather around at the lobby waiting to check out. Yup, we had fun in Kuantan town and we are all set to venture to Cherating. Right after we check out, our journey to Cherating begins. On our way there, we saw really really lots of good stuff… almost 80% of the shops are selling keropok, salted fish… and best of all lekor! I love lekor but amazingly, I never had any while I am there.
We then check in to Holiday Villa Hotel. It was a total different experience. We had the challet with this “kampung” feel room. It’s pretty much cool. Not to mention, I had the whole challet to myself. Yeay… opss… I mean the whole place to me and little kitty~
We throw our stuff in the room… roll around the bed for a while and then head out to look out for good food.

When I mention seafood overload, I really do mean seafood overload. Lunch is woohoo… Y.U.M.M.Y. We actually sort of try not to eat too much seafood as Prem and Adrian told us, they will bring us to ‘apparently.. THE BEST OF THE BEST” seafood in Kuantan. So yes, lots of vege… of course cook with some seafood in it. I think practically everything on the table have some seafood in it. I must say.. the prawns… woo… I can even eat the shell!

Burp~ After lunch is always the torturing part! Worst is after such a filling and delicious lunch. For me… I felt like sleeping. But nope… we all gotta go for our final meeting. Hey, it’s not as fun as it looks you see. We gotta work too… but well, if I have to work… I would rather choose to work more freely. At least the mind is much fresher.
Now… what happen after meeting? What is best of the best? What happen that night? La la la… you’ll see~

The Sinking of Prince of Wales and Repulse in 1941 by Japanese bombers happened in Kuantan - something that might confuse my British/Japanese son in years to come.
Always an eye-opener seeing your bright site. Joyful pictures everywhere. And talk of delicious seafood. Yum yum.
