Ah… I was browsing through some magazines and I suddenly thought about this topic, “my ambition”. I used to re-call this used to be a favourite topic my primary school teachers would ask us to write.
Of course, like most of what other kids would write… I initially said I want to be a teacher. Why? Cause, I get to receive gifts and flowers during Teacher’s Day. Haha… yup… back then, that’s what I’m thinking. But of course during the exams… we’ve gotta just write how cool and wonderful it is to being a teacher.
And then, later on… after being influenced by those dramas and series…. I wanted to be an engineer, lawyer or a doctor. Well, I recall holding on to this few ambitions for quite a long while. Of course with the influence of parents and uncles and aunties… this seems to be the best job ever in life. Anyone who falls are engineers, lawyers or doctors were being treated like god. Which in my opinion, many still strongly think so.
And of course finally being a designer. I can seriously say this is a common misconception. People would thought designers/artist are weird or maybe cool. Most people would think life as a designer is glamorous. Like you get to wear funky cloths, wear stylish and weird clothings. I must say, yes… those that are famous… do get away with the bad style but those whom are more low profile would constantly be labeled as weirdo/geek. But to be honest, after being so long in the industry… this isn’t how it works and at least those that I know… mostly do not wear weird/funky looking… most of them looks sleepy/zombiefied (probably due to lack of sleep). So yup, you either be famous or be weird. I am weird by the way
So what exactly is my ambition? My ambition is…. (I still wonder how I pass my primary school essay).

Well… I guess we were all influenced by teachers during our primary school. They influenced us that being doctor, lawyer, fireman, police, postman, teacher, astronaut and bla bla are great.
I’d never thought that I would become a weird nerd coder. I’d never dreamt of becoming a programmer.
I wanted to become a soldier back then. I even joined St John, boy scouts and Taekwondo during my school day. Guess I am too “fit” now to even become a security guard. Muahaha…
