Like a hamster, I keep food for rainy days.
You never know when you will need it.
But when you need it you know it’s always there.
🙂 I’m a happy girl now. Yippie!

Jingle bell, jingle bell..
I am in the x’mas mood!
Stars are shining brightly everywhere.. snowman popping up like mushrooms..
And I just can’t help it when everywhere is so nicely decorated..
All malls are full-on decorating the malls, from The Gardens
The cozy cabin looking theme lives up to it’s standard and is simply interesting
Bangsar Village is by far somewhat disappointing given that they simply just dump some hot air balloon with gifts
But.. it’s sister, Bangsar Village II did a far better job partnering with Lego. Most of the cnristmas decorations are created with Lego.
From wreaths, ornaments to snowflakes..
Being someone who loves to eat, I also try out many christmas themed food.
From the donuts..
To Auntie Anne’s cheesy turkey pretzels,
Burp.. now even decorations in some mall’s can’t help but to agree with me.
Bangsar Shopping Centre has this “GIANT” Christmas Dinner
And most malls have lollipops and ice-cream hanging on the Christmas trees, some even have apples.
Yes, I thought I was dreaming at first.. but nope.. it’s true~
Ah… that’s like flying me to cloud 9, which is what Sunway Pyramid did.
Their fairy wings decoration does capture lots od attention. Yes, I wanna fly and be an angel too..
Midvalley and KLCC chose a more fun approach.. they both have one of my favourite element in it
With Midvalley showcasing the musical and carnival side.
Merry-go-round!! Love~ love.. love~
And the paper ornaments, too clutter and busy, but superlove..
While KLCC is all about teddy bears and nutcrackers.
OMG!! Yes, I love nutcrackers. I hope someday I can have like and extensive collection of it in different sizes
Phewwww… chill mandy, chill!
Even bubble teas make an effort to spread the season greetings
After all the exciting mall Christmas decoration hunting, this one mall brings us all back to reality..
Yes, while most santa and santarina are young and energetic.. they do grow old
But nevertheless, we still do love them deeply
Now yes.. Merry Christmas everyone!
And what better way to start a great celebration than to make my very own hot chocolate candycane drink!
Premonition.. most of the time, I wish I have the ability to tell.
At some point, I try very hard to avoid, to disregard, to ignore.
At some point it was a gift, or perhaps it was a curse.
I wish there was a choice, or an option.
I hope I will stand strong or at least stand still.
I wish I can keep calm and carry on..
But sometimes, I wish I could just sleep and dream for a bit.
Just a little, because that’s just what I need.
A little dream to make me feel a little more humane.
Yes, just a little dream will do.
I recently had this confusing conversation with a friend.
Which to date, I still can’t seems to understand what we just talked about:
Potato: What to do on a Sunday noon?
Me: Go paktor lor!
Potato: Yeah, doing that now. But what else can do cause it’s so boring.
Potato: Need suggestion aside movies, shopping, café. What else?
Potato: Is it normal to just shop, movies, café and chit chat? Seems like monotonous one.
Me: Life is like that lor. Eat, shit and sleep. You also monotone for so many years.
Potato: Want to do some activities mah. Like jungle tracking.
Me: Then go cycle at park, catch butterfly with net or picnic.
Potato: Cycling so hot la. I want something that is not too hot and burnt under the sun.
Me: You want activity but give excuses. Hot la, this la and that la.
Me: Then go see museum, science centre or art gallery.
Potato: You think here is Paris or Rome or Europe? Museum here sucks big time.
Me: Seriously, monotone is your choice.
*puke blood* Sometimes, I can only blame myself for allowing this kind of conversation to take place.
If we look at things in a broader picture, life has always been monotone since we are born, no?
I mean seriously, monotone life? Life is monotone, if you allow it to be like that.
It’s the small details in life that makes everything more interesting.
Someone once told me – make time, make an effort and everything will turn out differently.
Now, back to my monotone life! Zzzz…
2012 has come and gone in a blink of an eye.
And I technically survived the Y2K and the predictions of the great Mayans, and what’s next?
And for once, I sat down and really think hard what do I really want for 2013?
I guess, what I want this year would be:
1. Try out more good food.
Awesome food in fact, and more seems to now be an understatement.
And I want loads, loads and loads of awesome food!
Yes, I want to eat like there’s no tomorrow.
Seriously, who knows how many more Y2K I will get to survive.
2. Travel – yes travel more!
Haha, did I just use the word more again?
I can’t list out a number of place I want to travel to, but I wish to see the world a little more.
Although I have hit my quota last year, this year I wanted to travel slightly further further away.
Somehow my heart is thinking about Hong Kong.
Why? I suppose I miss the gachapons, miss the good food especially the french toast and dim sum.
And of course the fun travelling moments with my cuzzie.
Then again, I’m also thinking of Taiwan where I am seriously dying to try all the street food.
This time round, I am just going to focus on all the night market and I want to just eat from the beginning till the end of the street.
3. Work hard, play even harder.
Almost everyone I know says I work too hard.
It’s probably a sarcastic remark, but probably it’s true or maybe it’s just because I’m incompetent.
Unlike others, I just don’t have the skills to do things as fast, good and accurate, hence I really need to spend a little bit more time than others and step up the game.
To be honest, I am still finding ways to fix it. If anyone have any good ways or methods, do share it with me.
As for me, I’ve decided to play even harder to balance up my life.
How exactly, since everyday only have 24 hours?
I don’t know. I haven’t exactly figure out how I want to do it.
Probably just by eating more good food and travel more? Yes, that pretty much covered all the above pointers.
4. An Instagram a day, keeps the memory alive!
A promise I made to myself. To take at least a photo a day on Instagram.
And by the end of the year, create a wall montage or mosaic out from all the Instagram photos I’ve taken.
Just to spice up the game, I’ve decided on no face, just some random photo that represent my daily life.
Some weird or artsy photos maybe.
Now I wonder what my Instagram wall will look like at the end of the day.
5. The artsy side of me.
I start slacking again. I know right?
It’s sad because recently it’s been quite stress and difficult.
But I will hang on and at the end of the day, I really need to set my priorities right.
The path I choose and I dreamt about, got to start somewhere and it has to start here.
Draw Mandy Chan, draw! Draw and chase after infinity canvas!
Super excited at my very first Urbanscapes experience.
It was raining heavily for the past few days, and thank god it ended up with a lovely weather today.
Wandering like a lost child, I finally found the PUMA’s Cool Playbus!
The final outcome of the planned custom made pop-up store double decker bus is really awesome.
Loved it 😍!
They transformed the bottom deck to a pop-up store while the upper deck is use mainly for dance and music performance.
Swag rite? 😎
The crowd is completely mesmerized and captivated by the performances.
Was quite blown away with the breakdance performance in such a confined space, on top of the bus. Good job guys!
My very first trip to Beijing, China.
It is quite different from my expectations and love the beauty of it’s old and new architecture.
I love the culture and it makes me wonder how is it impossible for them to create and build such mesmerize buildings.
But nothing beats the irony, of this song was being played at a shop when I was there.
How appropriate isn’t it? *classic*
More amazing Beijing post to come 🙂
I’ve heard a lot about the Tokyo Street in Pavilion, but this my first time here.
The place does looks very interesting.
Lots of colours, lots of pattern and neon lights.
*love… love, love* It does have that Japanese look especially the entrance is decorated with a big lantern.
Now I think this could be my new favourite hangout! 😍
And ooo.. I spotted some interesting food stalls and restaurant. *yeay*
I’ve always adore guys who cook.
What more hot guys who cook *woo la la*
And it is really cool when they invited all the good looking and muscular guys to come to our office to promote the program.
Well, guys who knows how to cook definitely score a point for me 🙂
*yum yum* Now who wants more meat… er, I mean food!
My sweet cousin has posted such a cute invite to ask me to be her bridesmaid 😍 *sweet*
And of course, I have to reply her request in a creative way.
I humbly accept the request. “Yes, I do“.
My dearest cousin, remember to save the date ya.
Your bridesmaid is coming to town.
Let’s go eat, shop and have fun before your wedding!
