MERDEKA!!! MERDEKA!!! MERDEKA!!! Everybody is busy talking about it. Celebrating it. Making the full use of their annual leave on friday for it. How can I not talk about it. Like what I said last year, I think most people have lost and forget the true meaning of the celebration, including myself. We have slight knowledge about it because many of us study it to pass out history exams. Many actually love history. But well, when it comes to putting history to real life, I guess it’s just another chapter of life. Some even wonder we are celebrating our how many years of independence. While many others were thinking what they should do or where they should go celebrating. I won’t say I am a patriotic person, but at least I would like to try to be. I like being in Malaysia although I complain about the jam. Probably because we get many different type of food. Yes.. food… I like food. I like eating Yue Sang during chinese new year. I like nasi lemak with teh tarik for breakfast. I like roti canai on my weekends. I like sambal pedas. Best of all, I love my friends and family here. So yeah… I’ll be somewhere wandering tonight.. looking at fireworks, counting down to MERDEKA and for sure thanking everyone in past that make this day possible to celebrate. |
