Backdated post. Actual event took place on 16 April 2006.

Right after such wonderful Korean food, we decided to hang out a little. Have some coffee or tea while catch up a little. Yes, many things has happened and changed since we left uni, when we start to work, when we seldom meet up. Everybody was busy.

When we arrived at Coffee Bean (located beside Breakers in Desa Sri Hartamas) we all were like a bunch of school kids crowding the canteen auntie looking at what we want and busy talking and asking. Yes, Wai Khiong decided to treat us for drinks. Hehe… he wants to thanks us for the nice dinner 😀

Well… me, brian and jerry decided to get wai khiong a slice of cake. What is birthday without cake! So I picked a rather fruity one. Hehe.. at least it’s not too much to handle after such wonderful dinner. Jerry then walked out from Coffee Bean singing happy birthday loudly. Everyone of us join in. Wai Khiong was so shy that I guess he really wanted to cover his face!

No worries Wai Khiong… not much people looking ar!

We then sit down… chit chat… busy taking, posing and looking pictures. Haha… it was just simply busy! I am glad everyone did manage to pose a “v” pose for me 🙂 The guys were shy, so yeah… I am grateful and thankful! Cheers people!

Project Crossroad: Monster’s Day

project crossroad

From football to monsters, that is quite a big leap in terms of project theme.
I always think monsters are creepy until I saw Monster’s Inc.
It totally blow my mind away !
I was reminded of the monsters as I saw movie clips of Monster’s Inc. when I was watching the Cars.
So here I am, celebrating the a new celebration – Monster’s Day.
On this day, I present you with our own version of monsters.

Brian was the first to submit his Monster Sheep .
As cute and as monster as it can be, he totally eats the theme.
I totally love the big horns and bloody red eyes.
Ever consider turning it into a plush toy?

Monster Sheep - done by brian

L B is quick to shock us with his Octobunny!
It surely looks electrifying but at a glance, it does look a little like an Octobat to me.
The Octobunny surely will do the trick in scaring little kids especially when they are about to eat octopus or squids!

Octobunny! - done by L B

Jimbo submitted yet another bunny monster.
He presented us with his cool Lola Bunny.
Cute yet madly angry bunny.
Now it got me wondering if bunnies were that scary in real life.
Seems quite a number of bunny monster is submitted.

Lola Bunny - done by jimbo

Takeru also joined in the fun with his takerumon.
Together, they both will take over takeruworld !
Takerumon had cute plaster on his belly button and nailed his head.
Looks so totally cute yet invasive.
Takeru, can you draw me a mandymon too?

takerumon - done by takeru

May came back from Beijing, just in time to submit her Duckoora.
I am quite certain that is was inspired by Peking Duck .
No meat, no crispy skin left. Just tje beak and showgirl feathers and gangreen (gangrene, get it?) legs.

Duckoora - done by may

My version of monster was too harmonious and in fact they came in a family.
Mini, Miney and Mo.
They are a family of monsters that have the cutest eyes .
They just love to stare weirdly at people while they were snoring and dreaming.

Mini, Miney and Mo - done by velverse

What is up next week?
Project theme: Careanimals (our own version of Carebears)
Project description: We are inspired by our childhood cartoon – Carebears. If you are an 80’s baby, you will know and would have seen it at least once. So please submit your version of careanimals and tell me what magical things can they do.

Project deadline: 4 July 2006, Tuesday.
Submit to: mandy@velverse.com

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Be it good or bad… it’s just something we do for fun! Generate some cool ideas and well.. surely fill up some of our boring times 😀

The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift – So fast so furious that I got lost!

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

Movie Title: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (7/10)
Year: 2006
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift official site: http://www.thefastandthefurious3.com/

The Fast and the Furious, it has shaken the extreme world since it was first launched back then in the year 2001. The first instalment got us all shocked and excited all. With the ever macho Van Diesel and the handsome hunk Paul Walker. They manage to glide through the second instalments placing in some famous hot chick like Devon Aki, who manage to lure more guys in with her sexy appeal while charm the girls with her barbie car.

Like every other people out there who likes to look at chun chicks (yes, I like looking at chun chicks… and I don’t see a problem with that), fast and expensive cars, nice car graphics… and of course the flames that comes out from the car eksos that I think can burn 3 chicken wings. I am totally jumping high and low with excitement wanting and dying to go see this movie.

Well.. from the trailer… I obviously noticed the drop in the film quality. Not to even mention the castings for this 3rd instalment is not that great. Yes, most of the cast weren’t exactly that well-known. Okay maybe they are some big stars… but I surely din see much of them before. I still go… because I was wrong about Cars… and so.. I didn’t wanna be wrong and miss some shows. On top of that, I love to see the drifting styles. Just so smooth!

The movie kicks of with a not quite interesting opening credit. It somehow looks like those typical Chinese movie type of opening. Which I dun put much blame on since the director is a Chinese (I assume) since his name was Justin Lin. The opening scene tells out how Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) was a not so rich and famous student in the university. He loves fast cars, however he can’t actually afford it and thus he drives a rather old car. His car mirror was smashed when he was caught talking to a famous footballer, Clay (Zachery Ty Bryan) ‘s girlfriend. Thus, he was challenged to a race which well… end with a nice reward. Whoever wins gets Clay’s girlfriend, Cindy (Nikki Griffin).

It was a rough race with lots of sand, dust, knocking and banging… and surely lots of badly shaped cars in the end. Okay… from here onwards… no one knows exactly how come he flies to Tokyo. It is said that he can be trailed since he has loads of speeding tickets and all. But I have no idea how he can leave town when he is on the crime’s list. No explanation… nothing.. straight to Tokyo.

He went there and settled down with his father who treats him very strictly. Well… at school… he finally meet some cool people like Twinkie (Bow Wow) who is like a walking amazon.com. He sells loads of stuffs, from iPod, shoes, watches… I guess anything you can name. And well… so coincidently… Twinkie is some underground kid that knows people who do those illegal racing stuff. Which interests Sean.

He was quickly eyeing on Neela (Nathalie Kelley) which manage to cause him trouble since he is DK (Brian Tee)’s girlfriend. I wonder why he always get’s in trouble eyeing on other people’s girl! Yes, DK is a very powerful and influential people because his uncle is a Japanese mafia and not to mention… he is very talented in drifting which earns him his name DK which means Drift King.

The blur and new Sean wasn’t aware of that challenged DK to a race. Han (Sung Kang), DK’s partner borrowed his car to Sean to race with DK. And needless to say, Sean who knew nothing about drifting smash Han’s car in to pieces.

Needless to say, Sean need to work for Han to repay him for the car damages. Sean is slowly taken in as part of Han’s group, which causes much dislike to DK. However DK can’t say anything since DK needs Han as his partner.

Han took Sean in and make him like his side man. He even give him nice cars and shelter. Not to even mention, he taught him how to drift! Which is so cool. Sean was then set to challenge with DK’s man Marimoto (Leonardo Nam). Sean’s winning made him more famous.

Problem soon start again when Sean just can’t leave Neela alone. Sticking together with her always makes DK more jealous and everything boils when DK found out that Han was cheating on him and his uncle. The incident causes both to fire at each other. Well.. obviously they race around town and all catching each other… which causes Marimoto to die and his car… I guess is sandwiched and Han to die too. Sad sad.. why does macho guy always have to die?

Well… to end all problems, they will also have to race cars. Right… so.. DK and Sean will have to race each other down some mountain roads. Which I dun find no reason why they do it but it was fun to watch. But well… actually not that fun anymore. Seriously, right after Han died, I just find the rest of the movie boring. And right… although is the last drive thing… I wasn’t paying attention at all.

For obvious reasons, we should already know Sean wins. He is then the new DK and Neela is his girl. But the best part, and well I was shocked when Vin Diesel takes a cameo role and wanted to race with Sean. He claims that he is Han’s family. Hahaha… I am surprised! SO… SO surprised!

The thought the drifting was superb. It was neat and the drifting chorography was good. The spacings and the angels were superb. Right… and I can see that they really use good stuntman. Right.. they have the reality famous drift king as their stunt and action director. It was the same people who do the Initial D.

However this movie has lack of the visual graphics thing going on (unlike previous 2 instalments) and worst of all.. the storyline sux. Everything skips too fast and they just try to put in too many drifting scenes in to bombard me and make me WOW!

I mean yes… WOW… nice drifting… wooo…. nice move…. but the storyline… there’s lots of gap to fill up that they just didn’t bother. Like I say, how come he can leave town and go Japan? How does he learn in classes when his Japanese is so limited? Why would Han pick him in the first place? Why would Han betray DK when he knows 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing? What Sean and DK need to race to settle things down, which leads to what are the settling?

I don’t even understand how come they are using Marimoto’s car to be in the poster… I mean in the movie the car appears only like for 10 minutes, maybe less… and I don’t get it. Maybe I just doesn’t have to get it.

Hahaha.. however I was impressed with Han when he ask what is the point of racing. Totally salute him when he does not drift to win races… instead.. he only drifts to… ermmm… I can’t tell, watch it!

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 16 April 2006.

Time of the month to celebrate some birthdays. Hehe… Yeah…. I just love to celebrate birthdays. Thinking of the new places I will be exposed to.. and not to mention the good food and the good company I am going to get while dining. I believe in order to taste the best food in life, besides good recommendation, there is a lot of factors that determine it.

For instances, good companion… I won’t like to dine with someone who eats two piece and say they are full or on diet. I dun like people keep telling me.. this is fattening and lecture me on calories while eating. Good ambience… it’s not like I don’t eat at the roadside stalls and all… I do but then again… there is alot of factor that define the ambience… for instances I dun like rats and roaches as company. Quality food… I dislike eating expensive and food that I felt people who only knows how to cook maggie can do better than that. Last but not least, the mood to eat. Well, I always like to someone to tell me earlier on some outing to eat coz I have this habit of having an idea of what I can create the mood to eat. Yes, if I don’t have the mood to eat, I just can’t eat… but when I do… I can eat like mad. Yah… people that sees me eat plates and plates and plates… hahaha.. you know what I mean!

Back to the topic again (yeah, I am good at diverting stories)… it’s Wai Khiong’s birthday and this time around, we celebrated it at a Nak Won Korean Restaurant located at Desa Sri Hartamas. It’s located at some quite quiet place which I have no idea actually any stalls were located there. Well.. the shop is located behind Soda Disco. Yah… in order to park and enter the place, you will have to drive in to the car park located next to Soda.

Well… forgive me for not taking any front shots of the shop as we were late for the party. Hahaha… yup, I can conveniently blame it on Jerry as he comes and pick me up late! Yeay~ Well, I guess he is not really in the mood that day as his girlfriend could not make it to the dinner. But well… when we arrive, every arrived and guess what… food is served! Talk about the right timing!

Jessy is the organizer for this time birthday dinner. She ordered loads of stuff. We have so much people that we break in to 2 tables. Our table manage to have Charcoal Grilled BBQ beef while Wai Khiong’s table have the lamb as most of the people there doesn’t take beef. The beef was superb. It was tender and the meat absorbs the marinate sauce so well. We have Charcoal Grilled BBQ chicken and Charcoal Grilled BBQ pork as well. Yeah… food was simply fantastic. Everyone simply just can’t have enough of it. But well… like I say, I still prefer the beef to the other meats which well.. I normally prefer pork!

The loads of small plates of appertizers makes me go crazy ! Every one of it tasted so different yet delicious. The best part, it’s refillable. We refilled and refilled almost like everything. And eat and eat and eat and munch and munch. I can’t tell you how much I love the kimchi’s and the spinach with sesame seed! Ah…. I want more and more and more!

Besides that, Jessy also ordered the Steam Egg. It was somehow unique. It tasted a little like Chawan-mushi. The texture and the filling is almost the same except this one tasted a little lighter. Hehe… not many guys on the table likes this stuff. They say it tasted weird and they are not used to steamed eggs.

Everyone of us have our own bowl of Kimchi Beef Soup. I think it is a complimentary dish. It tasted fantastic and I must say… it is the main highlight of the day! Yes… nothing on the table can beat the taste of this soup. The beef taste with the spicy yet a little soury taste. Ah… I simply just love it. I wish they serve extra 3 bowls per pax.

They even end the occasion with some traditional Korean dessert. I have no idea what it was… they say it was some rice water. Well, it actually looked and tasted like barley to me. No idea, there isn’t anything I can investigate with as it’s purely water and has nothing inside for me to look around at.

Well.. some might like it… some might not. For sure Jerry didn’t enjoy his meal as he was complaining all the way. Well, he’s the type that must have proper meal like rice… and rice kind of person. I don’t know, He doesn’t fancy steamboat, he doesn’t fancy grilling or BBQ stuff, he doesn’t really fancy buffet. Hahaha.. don’t ask me what he likes. I guess he would love Chinese food, since he love to eat rice. Haha…

Well… since the night is still early, we then went for second round right behind the restaurant. We went to have drinks at Coffee Bean (right next to Breakers). Yeah… more pictures next post!

Cars: the cars speaks for themselves.

Cars (2006)

Movie Title: Cars
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (9/10)
Year: 2006
Cars official site: http://www.carsthemovie.com/

I don’t know… I wasn’t sure. It never even appear to me that I will like this movie. The trailers sucks. It didn’t mean a thing. The storyline seems to be lame… and cars… hahaha.. it’s never been my topic. I don’t know. And after so many winning streaks for the Pixar, I tot their glorious moments will just tarnish.

Well.. the only reason that got me to the cinema to watch it was because I didn’t want to miss a single animation from Pixar. Yeah… I have a good record when it comes to following Pixar’s animations. I was glad I make the right decision to follow my persistent wants. I must really say it proves me so wrong and Pixar is still in it’s very top form. As a matter of fact, this time around it is much more touching and they really do pay much more attention to it. No wonder it takes them so long to ever release this movie.

It’s a movie in tribute to John Lasseter and also the last movie for Joe Ranft as he died last year. Cars is a movie that talks about a cocky and self-centred rookie race car Lightning McQueen (Own Wilson). He is the new sensation in the Piston Cup as he would be the first rookie to ever win a Piston Cup. His ego and cocky attitude land him in to trouble when he believes he is the champion and believes he will take over Me. The King (Richard Petty) and be the new face for Dinocco. Yes big companies that will put him at the cover of lots of magazines, promotions, advertisements and surely does bring in fame and woman!

A big scene starts to come out when there is a tie between the 3 racers. Mr. The King, Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks (Michael Keaton). They were then set to a new race to find out who the winner is. They will all then race in California in a weeks time. Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks were both fighting their way there first to get in contact with the Dinocco’s and both eager to get to be the new spokesperson for Dinocco.

In the midst of getting to California, McQueen was accidently left of at the highway. Being a race car without headlights, he went the wrong way and instead of heading to the interstate, he landed himself at Route 66. Due to some traffic offence and him wracking the road there, he was sentence to do community service there. The would have to fix up the road before he is released.

There he gets to know lots of new people like Sally a fine and beautiful Porshe (Bonnie Hunt), a old and rusty looking truck, Mater (Larry The Cable Guy) which ends up to be his best friend. In that small town, he also secretly or I should say accidently found out that Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), the town mayor is actually a legendary Piston Cup racer who actually have won 3 Piston Cup. However he was forgotten when he met was crashed in one of the race.

The movie does bring in lots of unexpected scenes. I love it even more when they end it with lots of flashbacks of other Pixar animated movies but change the characters to cars with the feel of the original feel to it (yes, this all only happen during the credits.. so stick to your chair till they all shoo you off). I personally like the Monster Inc. version.

I must say I was touched and my judgement made based on the trailer is so so so so so wrong. I think this is by far the best animation series by Pixar. But then again, I love Monster Inc. coz I simply love the fuzzy and cute monsters. Hehehe… cute and cuddly.

Well, there were many things I didn’t exactly know about but was pointed out by friends and critics which makes me wanna re-watch this movie again. Well… I know I am cruel, but I will still spot it out so that you will want to pay attention to it if you ever see the movie over and over again.

1. The rock formations at Radiator Springs resemble Cadillac Ranch (an art exhibit consisting of 10 Cadillacs half-buried in a line outside Amarillo, Texas).
2. If you look closely, there is one racing cars which is white and has the Apple logo, and the number is 84. 1984 was the year Apple released the Macintosh. Pixar was previously owned by Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple. (Fellow mac users… please spot this car. Para Salute!!)
3. The tires of Lightning McQueen are manufactured by Lightyear, a reference both to the real tires manufacturer Goodyear and character Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
4. The crash at the end of the movie is a re-creation of Rusty Wallace’s famous end-over crash when his car flipped 23 times. (Yes, let’s count. 23 times)
5. Michael Schumacher actually do the voice over for The Michael Shumacher Ferrari that goes into Luigi shop to buy tires at the almost ending scene.

Oooo…. I am so looking forward to Ratatouille (is said to be on cinemas in 2007), which tells a tale of a rat named Ratatouille who lives in a upmarket Parisian restaurant run by an eccentric chef and Toy Story 3 (which will be on cinema in 2008).

p/s – please do try to enter the cinema earlier and scrap the fashionably late attitude. Coz if you do, you will miss out the 10 minutes short animation by Pixar. Yes… it’s totally cute and it’s call “One Man Band”. It does make laugh like crazy. I think the animation and the expression is simply superb. What more can I say. Pixar never fails me. 😀 Well.. you could view the story behind it if you do miss it.

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006.

That’s right. We finally make it to the Winter Warmer’s Coffee and Tea House. It’s been a talk and a vision for us to go there to have tea.. since like.. ages ago. Well it remains as a talk only since we always go for late dinner and not to mention this place close rather early for us. We either haven’t finish our dinner or well, we just wasn’t in luck.

I totally love the serious english look in at the place. From the wallpaper to the colour scheme. It is totally interesting. Not to even mention the pottery they have inside with the big floral patterns on it. Simply interesting. It does give a very warm and cottage feel to it.

Gigi ordered Rose Coffee that comes in a mug that has rose floral on it. The coffee was topped with whipped cream and dried rose bud. Ah… I can smell the rose smell from the place I was sitting.

I ordered something more common. Iced peach tea. Well.. it turned out not common at all. Just as my drink arrive I can smell the peach smell over powering other smell. It surely have a very strong peach taste to it. In addition to it, the peach flavoured jellies were so chewy. It gives the drink an extra kick!

Brian ordered mix fruit tea. The colour at first look like ribena to me as it was rather purple. It was interesting how it was being served. Eventually the tea was served in a pot. In the cup there were apple cubes with something that seems like syrup. I didn’t actually taste it as I was busy with my own drink. Yummie.

We didn’t manage to stay late as the place close rather early (erm.. to our lepaking standards). Yes, they close around 11pm. 🙂

Oh yeah, incase you are wondering about the pinches and the blueblacks. It all really did happen. Yes… the pinching and biting session seriously took place. And the blueblacks.. it does exist (not photoshoped). But well… the blueblack mark was a result of previous pinching sessions from brian. Hahaha… well, to be honest… both have the same amount of blueblacks on their arms. Well.. it always happen. You guys will just have to get used to it as I am totally immuned to the senario and looking at it. So yes… don’t drop your jaws and pop your eyes. See… they were always so excited to meet one another :D.

Project Crossroad: 2010 World Cup Mascot

project crossroad

The football ⚽ fever is all  time high this season.
Everyone I know is either busy screaming or shouting with excitement or are total disappointed over the match progress.
As for me, I am totally excited as South Korea is still going strong and have yet to disappoint me!
Go go go! And Nicole just taught me how to cheer for the South Korea team.
She mentioned I should shout “tae han min guk!”.

As such, this week we decided to pay tribute and give our own take to the 2010 World Cup Mascot.
So let’s get the ball rolling!

I manage to come out with cuppie, the next world cup mascot.
I personally am not sure what this year’s mascot name was and I always wonder how does one come up with the name World Cup.

Now, let’s carefully travel around the world with football without spilling anything!

2010 World Cup mascot - done by velverse

LB submitted his version of the mascot named PussyGalore.
Haha, the cute big round eyes of the pussy gives it an additional cute points.
And the pink looking long and slim legs elevate its elegance.
But I still wonder it is named PussyGalore? 2010 World Cup mascot - done by L B

Brian also submitted his version of a cute sheep mascot for the next World Cup.
It is obvious he is a fan of the Brazil team from the flag face paint.

Takeru finally submitted something this week after his busy and hectic schedules for the last few week.
His mascot is named Chiyo. And why he choose Chiyo as the mascot?
That is because girls also starts to be more active in playing football nowadays.
Chiyo is actually a Japanese school girl that plays football.
So cute, the pure white long socks actually makes it so relatable.

2010 World Cup mascot - done by takeru

Everyone else was too busy for this World Cup there, so this is all the submission I’ve received.
Let’s hope they will be less busy next week 😍

What is up next week?

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006.

A night after work where we decided to head to The Curve to have dinner. It’s been a long while and a long plan… I guess for those who have been following I have mentioned we wanted to have dinner and followed by having english tea for a long time.

And yes… 11 April 2006 is the mark of the memorable day.. where we successfully manage to have dinner AND have tea after dinner. Hahaha… me and gigi arrived only to find out that brian was in the car talking on the phone.. just 2 parking lot away.

Busy talking and talking on the phone.. he left us waiting and walking around. Obviously he has to be punished and thus he was forced to choose a place for us to dine in. Haha… he quickly pointed to ah Tuan ee’s Place. A Nonya restaurant which serves tasty nonya food. I came here once during my ex-company New Year Dinner.

I quite like the surrounding as it is not really noisy and it looks clean. Best of all the warm and welcoming wall colours and the antique wooden decos they have inside. We then each order something to share out. Brian ordered the green curry chicken. They say it tasted a little bit weird. I think it tasted alright except the fact that the ginger smell over powers everything. Well… it does taste very much different from the mamak or chinese style of cooking green curry chicken.

Gigi ordered the stir fried long beans with sambal belacan. Which in my opinion taste the best of all the dishes we ordered. I ordered the Chai Po egg. It tasted like normal Chai Po egg… except the fact that they put too much pepper in it. But I must really credit on them putting a dash of sesame oil to bring out the aroma.

Ah….. lovely . We then head down to Winter Warmer’s for a cup of tea but well… since L B ask me to slow it down on the food… I will post it maybe tomorrow~ 😉

The Omen: Disturbingly Disappointing

The Omen (2006)

Movie Title: The Omen
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/10)
Year: 2006
The Omen official site: http://www.heedtheomen.com/

The prophecy is clear. The signs are unmistakable. On the 6th day of the 6th month in the year 2006 his day will come.

From the eternal sea he rises. Creating armies on either shore. Turning man against his brother. Until man exist no more.

These are some of the con-lines I saw that got me attracted. With it’s major publicity that hit the date. Yes, it’s premier was on 06.06.2006. Ah.. what a nice day. I guess good promotion is good enough to make this movie a big hit. But I guess everything else just stops there.

It was a big hoo-hah thing. Everyone is talking about the day. Triple six. The remake of the movie. Ah… perfecto hit. But sadly… I left the cinema felt being ripped off and worst of all.. conned (read: it was BAD and spoiler alert)

To begin with… I would clearly say the review made was solely based on this particular movie as I have never seen the 1976 version. Well.. yes, this is the first time I was noted and have any clue what the “Beast” is all about.

The movie starts of with a terrifying opening…. showing how the Vatican is discussing about the signs of how the world is going to an end. Yes, a serious discussion about the Book of Revelation which reveals patterns that leads to a terrifying and ugly truth. The signs were significant and they even brought in examples like the World Trade center terrorist attacks, the recent tsunami’s and some other global events.

It is believe that the arrival of the Anti-Christ is soon to arrive where he/she will be marked with a numerical 666 (which is being called the Beast). It is believe this Anti-Christ will receive it’s powers to rule the entire world directly from the Satan.

The movie then zooms closer to a family. Robert Thorn (Liev Schreiber) is a senior American Diplomat. His wife, Kathryn (Julia Stiles) have difficulties in delivery and Robert was told that his wife have a miscarriage. He was also told that his wife suffered some scars in the womb which leads to her not being able to have children anymore. His concern soon turns to Kathryn as the baby is everything to her.

He was very soon conned by the hospital priest, Father Spiletto to take this other child born that night, whose mother died in childbirth. Due to his love for her wife, Robert agreed to it and raised the child as it’s own, without Kathryn knowing anything about it.

The child, Damien was soon being raised as Robert’s own flesh and blood. Everything turned out just fine as Robert’s career is blooming as well. He soon was promoted to become the United States ambassador in England when the previous ambassador dies tragically.

Just as everything seems perfectly fine, weird events start taking place. Yes, and all weird events that happen all take place around Damien (Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick). Her nanny firstly hang herself right in front of Damien during his birthday party.

Right after that incident, a strange and weird priest come looking for Robert warning Robert to kill his own son. Telling Robert that his son was a devil and will kill him. Even more surprising, it seems Damien’s actual mother is actually a wolf.

Matters turn worst as Damien acted weirdly during a drive to the church. His trip to the zoo worsen matters as it create a big havoc. Kathryn was slowly going nuts and she started to suspect that Damien is not her own child. She has this weird dreams every now and that which somehow manage to make me jump up a little.

She soon turned to a psychologist to get help. His husband was also asked to attend a few sessions to help understand more about what is bothering Kathryn. A scene which I hate to say is not professional at all as it is so obvious I could see some microphones hanging here and there.

On top of that, the new nanny, Mrs. Baylock (Mia Farrow) is rather scary. She came in to the position to protect Damien as he is believed to be the long-waited Anti-Christ.

Worst part of all, is the disturbing blurred photographs by a photographer. Yes, it’s some Final Destination 3 thingy… where they see visions of how the people died.

Everything was made clear when what Father Brennan told him is one by one becoming true. Kathryn is actually pregnant but everyone is planning to kill her baby as they worry it might change their plans. They will then kill Robert in order to make the prophecies come true. Father Brennan then died tragically and in a ugly way.

Robert and the photographer then heads off to check out the truth. Which then reveals a lot of disturbing truth. Yes, Robert’s actual baby actually wasn’t miscarriage. Instead the baby was being killed in order to successfully make Robert take Damien as his own child.

I was totally disappointed with the movie as it seems to be a rush job and lots of the continuity of the movie is bad. The microphones were seen every now and there scenes. Even worst, there we hand prints on the car during snow times which makes people know how many times the scene was being retake.

The actors were seriously not up to the standards. Robert was too stiff and boring. Kathryn is too young and I think she could not live up to the character.

I didn’t really know what this movie is talking about as I seriously have loads of questions that I could not figure out.

1. How come the hospital priest want to con Robert in to taking the children? He is part of the 666 member?
2. Since Damien is related to the wolf family, how come dogs are their guardian angels? And I tot dogs are men best friend?
3. How come everything only happen when he is 5 years old? Not earlier not later?
4. How come he is the only one who is being chosen?
5. Why does the nanny have to die?
6. Why does Father Brennan have to die?
7. Why when Robert is about to kill Damien, why none of the Vatican’s help out?

Ah… I am very disturbed. Sigh…. it’s bad.. it’s bad… it’s bad! I wish they just didn’t promote it this big! It gives me so much disappointment.

I am different which makes me weird. I over think which makes me over sensitive. I am not sensible which makes me not reasonable
