This new KFC O.R Chicken Chop has make it big chaos in this fast food industry thing. Yes, everyone is talking about it since they lauched their ads. I think by now, most blogs have a written review about it and well… I guess I am as usual… known for my fashionably late reviews.

Ah… KFC… yes it’s always the nicest words to listen to when I have cravings for chicken. Fried Chicken to be precise. Many people look at this O.R Chicken Chop as a con as it’s set is retailed at RM9.90 per set (tax not included). The set comes with a regular soft drink, a chicken chop, a box of mushroom sauce, fries and coleslaw.

I think this chicken chop set is rather pricy when comparing the price we are paying with the portions that we got. I bet a plate of chicken chop at some mamak or hawker stalls is cheaper with bigger portions.. and yes… for sure it is unfair to compare it this way. Thus, I am comparing KFC O.R Chicken Chop with their KFC Snack Plate. Judging at the size of their food… and price… The Snack Pates are at better deal… with.. well… more meat. I dunno if I am a big eater or what… but I just felt this chicken chop fails to nail my cravings for chicken. I guess it’s good as a snack but not for main courses.

Anyway… looking at the picture… I only want to say… I had only like 12 sticks of fries on my plate . I mean… 12 sticks! Potatoes is either getting expensive or someone stole my fries!

Yes.. as for the taste part…. the gravy tasted like the mashed potatoes gravy with some sliced canned button mushrooms. And the chicken with the gravy…. not exectly a great combo as O.R chicken itself doesn’t really have the crispy skin to begin with.. and when added the sauce on to it… everything turns soggy and well practically it looks ugly! The part that I couldn’t tolerate… the sauce over powers the chicken taste itself making me taste like I am eating a while plate of mashed potatoes.

Well… I wouldn’t in exect words say it’s a con… since from day 1… everything labeled with O.R is smaller than other KFC stuffs… example… the O.R chicken is smaller than the Hot and Spicy chicken. The O.R burger (smaller than my palm) is smaller than other burgers in KFC… what more you expect from O.R Chicken Chop? Just well… sack your “Taste and Approve Department” (no idea what you called that) and pump in new blood.

It’s one of those days we relax a little, which means less workload for the day, sit back with everyone in the office have a long and laid back lunch. Prem have this craving to eat this Indian Food Promotion when he saw the poster in the lift saying there is “Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Indian Cruisine”. Yes.. he had been explaining alot about the foods to me each time we are in the lift.

The thing was suppose to happen on Monday but well.. eventually I took breakfast and decided to skip lunch. Hahaha.. yes, I was being blamed for not making it happen on Monday… but is it really my fault when there is not prior notice?

Haha… as usual… we went on the last day of the promotion and we decided to whack as much curry as possible. As usual… I wasn’t really aware that today is the day we go eat buffet… I dunno.. at least my stomach wasn’t really ready for it.

We walked downstairs and *ta da* reached. Hahaha.. yes… it is actually super duper near my office. Well to be precise, my office is located there. We were being served and to my pleasant surprise, most the staffs is wearing traditional Indian costumes. We sat down chit chat a little before we decided to grab some food to eat. They have loads of stuff being served there…. ermm… okay when I say loads.. it’s not like 70-80 stuffs to choose from, but enough to make me stand there thinking what I want to take and eat.

I dunno… I wasn’t really in the mood for eating.. since the past few days… so I anyhow take something that looks good. As we were talking… the food pictures taken above is the only stuff I had for lunch. Hahaha… everything was sorta okay on the first plate I took except for the fried sweet potato. That gets a big no no from me as it tasted weird and I dunno how to express it… just not the normal fried sweet potato that I have ever tasted.

Woohoo… the second plate is the best part. I totally love the baby lobster curry. Mmmm, the curry is just so sweet.. not the sugar sweet but it’s being filled with the sweetness of the baby lobster. Yummmmm yumm.. the moment I sat down and wanted to enjoy it, Azli came back to tell that it’s finished and they have replaced the baby lobster with crabs. *boo hooo hoo… no more lobster*

I dunno… I felt super full from that 2 plates of stuff and decided to go for desserts. Yes.. I have sweet tooth. I love sweet stuff. Let’s hope I dun die from diabetis. THe fruit tart has always been my favourite. I dunno.. the colour appeals and the best part… fruits~

The tiramisu was alright but well… I still prefer the pudding to the tiramisu. Reason why… ermm… I guess their tiramisu is lack of coffee taste and surely doesn’t have any bailey’s in it *teeheee heee.. alcohol rulez*

I think RM55++ for the buffet was rather expensive… considering I eat so little… but hahahaa… it’s on the house… oppsss… I mean office. Hehe.. so three cheers to the office *cheers, cheers, cheers* *faints from excessive alcohol consumption*

Every now and then, we decides to go Breakers for pool. It’s one of those day we would just like to just relax and have fun times after a whole day of work. What more, TGIF!

Yeah yeah.. Breakers again.. hahaha… Brian even complaining that I’m like advertising for them.. but well I’m not… ermm actually I dun mind if they do pay me *haha*

Me, Gigi and Evan arrived at Breakers and started to play. It was about an hour later then LKY arrived with Ah’ B. There was some drama when the boucers doesn’t allow Ah’B to enter as he is wearing slippers. Hemmm.. we were all quite uneasy with the situation as our drinks just arrived, we just started to play pool and just starting to get comfortable with the place. LKY had to walk in and out to check things on both sides until we came out with an idea.

Since KY is wearing shoes, he took off his socks and borrowed it to Ah’ B. The end result… hehe.. it was a brilliant idea, surely he managed to join us . *woohoooo* No more worries… we could all play in peace finally. We took lots of pictures as I promised Evan to take some pictures with him. Hahaha… I cannot believe it.. before this, I had only take one picture with him.

As we were happily taking picture, playing pool… happily drinking, we bump in to some friends from mIRC. Hahaha.. which also went through the same drama as Ah’ B. But he was rather lucky his friends house was nearby and even luckier, he and his fren wear the same shoe size. Coincidence is the only word I can think of to express stuffs.

After a long nite of pooling, we then walk across the road and yum char! Hahaha.. yes.. yum char is the word I like to listen to instead of having supper. I dunno, it makes me sounds more Malaysian than ever.

Despite all the drama’s it’s still a good outing and surely look forward to see them all again. Yeah… it’s been like ages since I last saw KY and Ah’ B.

After spending more than a week in Malaysia, Nicole will be leaving us soon.
Well, not that soon actually. The fact that it seems shorter was due to her going to party with her friends in Port Dickson.
Thus, she will be leaving our place tomorrow. And I guess the next time I see her will be in the next 1/2 a year or so.

She decided to treat me and my sis for dinner. She was hoping that we would choose something expensive, but unfortunately it’s always taste over price for us.
Hmmm, maybe we should have sharpen our knives and slaughter her but since she hasn’t had local food for such a long time, we decided to go for Bak Kut Teh nearby.

While this is not the best in KL, it was one of the decent Bak Kut Teh in our areaa.
It is definitely above average, and with Nicole around the ratio of meat vs. greens wiill never be balanced.
We had a pot of Bak Kut Teh with extra mushrooms since my sister loves mushrooms, ordered a pot of drunken chicken which had strong dose of Chinese wine, steamed tofu, loads of “yau char kwai” in which Nicole just love to dip in soup and vegetables.

Incase you have not noticed, it will always be full of food and eating post especially when Nicole is in town 😂.

Yeay… I invaded Suzi’s corner again. It’s been like months since I last visit this place again. Yeah.. I remember the last time I went to that place was on my birthday eve with my mum and sister and sister’s bf.

Obviously there is another ocassion that brought me back. Hahaha.. I guess each time some celebration comes up I will be here. Can’t help it.. food is good.. lots of options to choose from and obviously cheap food.

Nicole wanted to eat something local.. since local food is super expensive over in aussie.. and not to mention it is expensive. We ordered loads of stuff to eat… I can’t believe it.. our tables is full with food till no single space is left empty to put other food.

We ordered loads of stuffs to eat and the scary part… Nicole actually wanted to order 2 naans and eat it by herself (without knowing how filling naan can be). Actually the moment she says she wants to eat one garlic naan and one cheese naan (not inclusive of the food we order to share)… I had a shock of my life. Hahaha… lucky we manage to stop her cause in the end… we din manage to finish everything up.

We ordered one set of chicken wings *ooooOOoo la la…. my favourite*, chicken murtabak and mutton roast to share. Hahaha…. Nicole ordered garlic naan and a tandoori chicken. Since nicole intended to eat cheese naan and garlic naan… I ordered the cheese naan so that she can settle her cravings. Jason had his Kashmiri naan (basically naan with raisins and nuts). Yes.. it sounds weird.. but eventually it taste nice.. a little bit sweet due to the raisin and crunchy.

My sister ordered the Claypot Nasi Briyani Kambing… which is a two thumbs up food. Yeah.. tried it before and it seriously taste good! Should give it a try if you do visit this place

We were all half dead by the time we finish… yes died of eating lots of local food at one go. But we just can’t help it… trust me.. if there is additional people there… god knows we might even order everything on the menu.

Nicole please come back soon… so it’s my turn to blame on you for eating so much

I knew I had to leave my love…. yes… we woke up rather late due to tiredness and well it’s a weekend and we are suppose to sleep late and roll around the chinawood way. My friend in ipoh known as tangoeva decided to patch things up as he AK47 me and my sis yesterday night to bring us out for drink. Thus.. he brought us out for lunch before we left my love, Ipoh.

Yes… I know I am a getting a little dramatic here, but… ipoh.. place with nice food… how can I not be dramatic . Well… as noticed.. no pictures of people were taken as everyone is so afraid of the camera and treat it as if it’s a box that would capture their soul and spirit away. Hence… only the picture of the food is taken.

The worst part is… it’s Nicole’s camera… and she is a living proof of human does not need vege to have all the minerals thus… you can’t actually see the vegetables dish.

We ordered this fish dish which is quite unique. They cook the fish in two styles… one the chinese way… fried and being topped with fried onion and soya sauce while the other one was done in the thai way. Spicy and sour in some way… just so appetizing.

The Cheese Prawns somehow din turn out as we expected. It doesn’t really taste like cheese. I dunno maybe they sent to the wrong table or what… it seems like the Milk Prawns… rather than Cheese Prawns. I can’t actually taste a single bit of cheese in it.

This is their signature tofu dish. Hemmmmm according to them.. they made the tofu themselves (which all shop claimed they do). To me, it tasted like normal tofu with minced meat. However, to me… this was the worst dish among all the dish as the meat didn’t manage to bring much taste to the tofu. On the other hand.. the tofu itself… I dunno… just isn’t my cup of tea.

But well, it’s still a fun lunch meeting up old friends talking about… those days.. last time… used to… ah… memories….

p/s – sorry… I din manage to tell or intro about the stalls as I din take shots of the shop or jot it down. Hahaha.. my mistake.. yes yes I know and admit to it.. but dun worry… I bought myself this cute and nice white notebook.. to jot things down. Hehehe… notebook and me… sigh… signs of growing old.

Woo… I am suppose to celebrate my last birthday here. But unfortunate for me.. the place was packed.. no no.. to be precise.. the parking place was jam packed. Which is one big problem for this place. Lack of parking place I assume.

The XM-ers decided to do a small little get together. Well.. I guess it intended to be a big get together.. until everyone started backing out on the last minutes.As usual… many AK47 has taken off on the way and lead other directions. Which is sorta sad and well.. I am out of words. Yeah…. Only 5 people arrived.. which includes me, gigi, meng, michelle and ganesh.

Well.. it was a funny incident. I called ganesh to tell him me and gigi is on the way.. since we will be the early birds. The rest have some probs which will turn up later on. As we arrived and parked. I told gigi I saw ganesh and at that moment… ganesh called. I told ganesh I was right behind him. He nod his head and then he continue walking to the entrance.

Me and gigi then got down from the car and walked in. Can u believe it! The moment I walked in.. I lost sight of ganesh.. whom I still got clear vision of 3 seconds ago. A waiter then stopped us to ask how many of us is dining. I told the waiter.. I’m looking for a friend. He asked me where is she or he located. I was totally blured at the moment and told him “I dunno. I just saw him 3 seconds ago right in front of me.. and now he is gone.” The waiter looked shocked and replied, “oh okay… hope you found what you are searching for.”

Ah… when I finally saw ganesh.. Hahaha… he was looking for me and we are looking for him. Guess what.. he tot me and gigi was inside and sitting at the behind section. Sigh… talk about miscommunication.

As the three of us was super hungry… we quickly point and pick from the menu and ordered. Meng arrived just in time to all our food arrive. Hahaha…

He then ordered and we all hang out for a bit when Michelle drop by for an hour or so before she left.

The rest of the night was mostly chit chats… with Meng and Ganesh telling funny but creepy ghost stories. Best part is obviously the end of the day photo session. I almost kenot believe it I stayed up until like 4 in the morning. WHen the next day I need to go back to Ipoh. Arghh…. my granny is going to look at my zombie face….. NoooooooooooooOooooooooooOoooo….o..ooo…o…oo…..zzzzzZZZZ.zzzz zzzzz zzzzZz

Tea after pancakes?

The night ghost has surfaced. Obvoiusly pancakes isn’t just the agenda for the day. It’s a normal culture for us to have after dinner plans… of course there are exceptions… when some of them are too busy or well… somehow too tired.

In today’s case, our plan was very english. Yeah…. pancakes and tea. We were supposed to try out this tea place (which will be featured in some further post). However, it closes sorta early so we gotta drop down at some place which closes late enough for us to crap around, take loads of photos and best of all still enjoy tea… as planned earlier.

Seems to me there is no better place than starbucks. Coffee person could continue on with their coffee addict… tea planner have their tea and well… sit down and chit chat. Evan who din make it to the pancake house *shake head* (totally wasted) manage to join us for yum char session.

I have no idea how come we have so many things to talk about… but well.. conversations just never run dry and we still manage to hang out till like 2-3am.

Ah… that’s the best way to end things…. a warm cup of chamomile tea. yummy and sleepy
