Heavenly breakfast~

Dine like a princess!

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 10 December 2006.

A really good night sleep make me wake up sorta early. Ah… so does everyone else. For the first time, I don’t need to call and wake anyone up. Amazingly, some of them were at the hotel’s cafe.

However, everyone is pretty much bored with the complimentary breakfast. We are all saving our stomach to try roti bakar. It’s said to be delicious and their coffee… woohoo… was describe as “better than starbucks”. Okay… now that sounds convincing.

Dine like a princess!

It’s quite a distance since we would have to go inter-state. Well, we are actually going to Terengganu for breakfast. Haha… talk about locating good food no matter how far it is. I wasn’t really sure how far it is… cause I fall sleep here and there along the way. By the time I woke up, I am already in Terengganu.

We parked right on the opposite road from Kedai Kopi Hai Peng. I must say, they really have a weird parking system in Terengganu. Something very different from the ones in KL. It’s really hard for me to explain it here… but.. haha… it’s really shocking! They have this sorta confusing and complicated… er.. okay not complicated but troublesome way to pay for the parking ticket. But then again… it’s really something new. I always thought we have one particular standard parking system.

We got a place at the coffee shop. It seems to be a miracle since it was describe as a place with loads and loads of people. One would have to wait for quite sometime to get a place there. Prem introduce some stuff to us which is their Roti Bakar (toast) and their coffee. Woohoo.. so yes, everyone of us have our portion of roti bakar and a nice cup of ice coffee.

There are many other delicacies sold in the middle of the shop. Everyone went around and grab stuffs they love. Prem highly recommend their Nasi Dagang. I gave it a try and it is really really great. Besides that I had some nasi kunyit, pulut udang and some nasi pulut.

It’s really really really really very filling. Yes, I eat a lot. I know~ but well, it’s not like I come to Terengganu everyday :).

Dine like a princess!

It’s not only me who enjoyed the breakfast spread. Everyone thinks it’s really great and yummy. No kidding… well, I guess picture says it all. Yup, we filled our tummy… hop on to the car, fasten our seat belts and is all set to get back to KL.

Goodbye Kuantan, goodbye Kemaman… hello KL~

Let’s PopInn~

Let's party in Kuantan!

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 09 December 2006.

We finished our very last creative meeting and everything else after that was a free and easy time. We are free to roam around… lepak… sleep and do whatever we felt like doing. I thought of going for a little walk by the beach since it’s just nearby. Dinner time is soon and I didn’t wanna sleep. Little do I know… everyone else thought of the same thing. The moment I step out of my chalet, I saw the guys outside of theirs as well.

When ask, everyone is heading to the beach. Oooo… I am not alone after all. We walk there.. talk and joke around. Not to mention feel some sand and play with some sea water.

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Haha… when things get bored… Loh starts to do some writing on the sand. Yup… velverse marks it’s territory. It isn’t such an easy job. The first few attempt was washed away. But persistant pays off. Yeay~ velverse was here!

Let's Party in Kuantan!

velverse, velverse, velverse… this word was mentioned and I have heard it many times. All are wondering when will the Kuantan post be posted. Some would wonder what sort of pictures I am snapping. Some think my picture have bad composition and practically have nothing in it. When I say… I am using it for some background purposes… they give me this 😮 “what are you talking about?”. Then again… I am too lazy to give detailed explanation. *snap snap*

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Our stomach start to make noise. We dare not take unnecessary snacks since Prem and Adrian told us, they are bringing us to this place which serves BEST of the BEST stuff. It was quite far away from our hotel. So yes, when we saw this huge Pak Su Restaurant signage, we are damn happy.

At the front of the restaurant, one can see loads and loads of tanks filled with different variety of seafood. Thank god I am not the one ordering. I am quite bad when it comes to options and choices. While Prem is busy ordering what’s cool, the rest of us can’t help but to look around… make faces and snap photos.

Let's Party in Kuantan!

Food arrive quite fast. As a matter of fact… very fast. Before I could finish taking picture of everyone, we were each presented with the Famous Pak Su Stuff Crab. I must say… IT IS HEAVENLY! The amount of crab meat in this thing… minus t the hassle of cracking up the crab and washing the hand… oh yes, it just adds up to one word… FANTASTIC!

Dish by dish starts to pour on our table. Fried Crab with Salted Egg Yolk, Deep Fried Squid, Fried Prawn with Butter, Steam Fish with Nyonya Sauce and Asparagus with Scallops. We just can’t wait to taste it. I normally don’t agree much on their BEST of the BEST remark… but this… I must agree. The Deep Fried Squid is simply amazing! Lovely and tasty. The crabs, I can never get enough of it. Despite the starter Stuffed Crabs, I still crave for more. It’s really hard to describe how I felt… but one thing for sure, I will be back if I had the chance!

Let's Party in Kuantan!

After a filling dinner, we decided to lepak at some pubs. Nope… no major party and get drunk thing going on tonight. Just a little get together… chit chat, play some pool kinda get together thing. It’s seriously relaxing. Apparently, this joint used to be quite famous and popular and would be full during the weekends. But hemm… I wonder what happened. Anyway… some quiet moments are good. Very very good… as for me, I am dead tired… I head back, fall asleep thinking of what good food is waiting for me tomorrow morning.

What Will I Do

Cagnet - What Will I Do

This is a song that I have heard from a Japanese series before.
😍 Love the tune and the sweet voice, and have always thought that this song was by some Japanese artist.
As I may not know too many Japanese artist, my first impression is that the singer for this song was not really popular or famous.

To make matters worst, I don’t even remember the name of the series since I only saw it a few short glimpse from the TV.
Hence trying to find who sang it is even harder.

Now, many would wonder how I end up finding this song then?
It was the weirdest encounter.  I borrowed my dad’s laptop for a week to prepare and work on something.
I was too bored with work and was looking around the laptop and saw this “Song Folder”.

To my surprise when I click 😯 in, I saw quite a number of audio files and started to play the songs in the folder.
Was listening to the songs and out of a sudden, I heard this familiar tune.
It’s this song, I could recognise the tune and the girl’s voice.
Looked at the playlist and it was labeled, Cagnet – What Will I Do.

Needless to say, this song was on loop mode for the last week and will be for the next few weeks.
Such sweet song and voice!
Ah.. time to sweeten my days, and weeks ahead!

My Movie Discovery

Blades of Glory

Blades of Glory (2007)

Movie Title: Blades of Glory
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10)
Year: 2007
Blades of Glory official site: http://www.bladesofglorymovie.com/

Will Ferrell, it’s been a while since we heard from the man, and when he starts appearing, he just wouldn’t stop. It’s a great thing coz I really think he is kinda funny and he is really cool!

Initially when I first saw the poster, I was way excited. I somehow mistaken Jon Heder as Owen Wilson. I thought to myself… Ferrell and Wilson! This must be hell of a comedy. But seriously, the poster convince me enough to watch it.

I am really entertained by this movie. The figure skating was excellent. Not to mention the costume, especially Heder’s peacock costume is simply amazing! The best of it all… it really make me laugh.

Spoiler begins here.
———————————————————————————————————————–
The movie starts of by focusing on the World Ice Skating competition. It’s now down to the two rivals, Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) and Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell). They were both known as one of the best men skaters. Jimmy, a graceful and elegant skater. Always have the passion to skate and perform better. In between his routine, clips of how he was adopted from a nearby orphanage when a billionaire, Darren MacElroy (William Fichtner) who loves to breed gold-medallist discovers Jimmy’s skating talent. Under Darren, Jimmy was trained by professionals and live in a luxury world. However, this makes him a little sissy and is very particular about cleanliness.

Chazz on the other side is a sex-addict. His routine is very much difference from Jimmy’s. Chazz normally have a lot of provocative moves and really get the crowd to go along with him. Having no manager or professional trainers, Chazz is pretty much a lone ranger. He normally ends his routine with a dramatic fireworks ending which normally piss Jimmy off.

The results for the competition is announced. Both Chazz and Jimmy tied for the gold. Both were not happy with results. Each thought that their own moves were better. They pushes each other while walking to the stage. The pushing around doesn’t stop and resulted both to fall out from the stage and fight on the floor. While they were fighting, they accidently set the Games mascot on fire. Both Chazz and Jimmy was being was sentence to a lifetime ban from the men’s singles competition.

Upon knowing that Jimmy was banned for life, Darren disowned Jimmy and throw him out of the car. The movie then picks up six months later. Since the ban, Chazz have been skating for a kids show. He takes up the role as an Evil Wizard. He got drunk most of the nights trying to get away with the fact that he was banned.

As for Jimmy, he is seen working for a skate supply shop. He tried his very best to tell his customers what is best for them but was constantly ignored. One day, one of Jimmy’s die hard fans, Hector (Nick Swardson) showed up in the shop where Jimmy is working. Hector then tries to to convince Jimmy to skate once again. At first, Jimmy thought Hector is just stalking him. But when Hector pulls out the rules and regulations about the skating competition, they manage to spot a loophole whereby Jimmy is only banned in the men’s single competition. That means, he could still participate in a pair skating.

Jimmy is all excited over the news and started contacting his old coach (Craig T. Nelson). he tried to ask his coach to find him a female partner but at no vail. While trying to look for a female partner at the kids show Chazz is working on, both of them got off the wrong foot once again. Being drunk and upset over the fact that he just got fired, Chazz fight with Jimmy and both ended up being jailed as they wrecked the show.

Jimmy’s coach then manage to see the footages and clips of their fight through the news and notices that many of their tossing and pulling scenes are similar to the pair skating styles. He thinks Chazz and Jimmy might just work well in the pair skating section. He then bails Chazz and Jimmy out and convince them that it would work and they will build a name for being the first same sex pair skater.

The media is all over the close brother and sister pair Fairchild Van Waldenberg (Amy Poehler) and Stranz Van Waldenberg (Will Arnett). Their parents used to be one of the best pair skaters. After they died from a car accident, Fairchild and Stranz took over where their parents left off has never been defeated in the pair skating competition since then.

The time to register for the pair skating competition is up. Fairchild and Stranz thought they would be the highlight of of the event, Instead, the spotlight was quickly grabbed by Chazz and Jimmy when they decided to step their feet over and join the pair skating competition. Fairchild and Stranz see the threat and starts to plot against Chazz and Jimmy. When they saw Jimmy talking to Katie Van Waldenberg (Jenna Fischer), they started to emotionally blackmail her to be a spy. Apparently, Katie’s parents died in the car accident while trying to pick Katie back from her ice skating class.

On the other side, Jimmy’s coach put Chazz and Jimmy to stay together. He wants both of them to create the teamwork spirit and get along well more. Things didn’t start of well. Both were fighting over small stuff.. which includes who sleep where, who sits where, who eats what. Every single thing could just spark a fight. Despite a bad start due to unfamiliar habits, both slowly starts to respect each other.

Jimmy is totally amazed with Chazz’s hair brush. However he is even more curious about the tattoo’s on Chazz body which very much represents the other female ice skaters whom he slept with. Chazz pretty much explains most of the tattoo.. except one. Chazz then asked Jimmy to call Katie and ask her out on a date. Jimmy was reluctant in the first place, but when Chazz called Katie up and pass it over to Jimmy, he braves himself up and asked her out.

Both went out on a date and Katie have been there supporting Jimmy and Chazz but forced to record their routine and show it to her brother and sister. Looking at the tape, Fairchild and Stranz laughed at how Chazz threw Jimmy out of the ring in their practice routine.

On the day of the competition, Fairchild and Stranz did an amazing performance. They manage to get the crowd to cheer for them. It is then the turn for Chazz and Jimmy. Feeling stressed and uneasy and everyone is giving them a weird look, they started with a lousy performance. They were so nervous that at the first jump, Chazz fails to catch Jimmy and he ended up crashing him to the sides. The crowd went silent for a while. They then gave a big cheer to support them. Seeing how people are still reacting and loving them, they continue on and did a fantastic job to secure them a place at the finals.

Both Chazz and Jimmy was happy with what they had done so far. However, Jimmy’s coach told them that, they would have no chance of winning in the finals. They would need the Iron Lotus technique to guarantee them a win. The Iron Lotus is an extremely complicated and dangerous technique to learn and perform. Jimmy’s coach then proceed to show them the video whereby only skater’s from North Korea is crazy enough to perform that technique… which resulted death. Chazz and Jimmy is aware of the consequences whereby one of the partner might be beheaded.

Knowing this is their only chance, they both decided to give it a try and have been training hard to perform the stunt. After months of hard training to perfect their routine, Chazz and Jimmy have become good friends. Fairchild and Stranz saw how close they have become and tries to find way to break up their partnership.

Knowing Jimmy and Katie is in love, Fairchild and Stranz tries to blackmail Katie. However, the old trick don’t seems to work anymore. This time, they threaten to handicap Jimmy if she does not help. Fairchild and Stranz asked Katie to lure and sleep with Chazz to breakup their friendship.

The plan started when Katie appears in Chazz’s sex addict meetings. Katie admits she is a sex addict too. In the meeting she tries to provoke Chazz. Later on that night, Katie invites Chazz over to her room. Katie is waiting for Chazz in the room wearing a sexy outfit. Being confused  and a sex addict, Chazz turned up in Katie’s room. Chazz is torn between two sides. He knows what he did was wrong and refuses to sleep with Katie as he know she is Jimmy’s girlfriend. On the other hand, he is too addicted to sex and he just can’t help himself but to fondle Katie.

Jimmy was tricked to go to Katie’s room and saw Chazz fondling Katie’s breast. Being upset and heartbroken, he ran off. Guilty over what has happened, Chazz tries to contact Jimmy through his mobile but at no vail. Chazz tries and tries. There were many scene where Chazz is seen to give up and doesn’t even bother to continue calling Jimmy anymore. However on later scenes, Chazz continues to call Jimmy for the whole night to apologize to Jimmy.

Worried with the fact that what have happen is not enough to break their friendship, Stranz kidnap Chazz. As for Jimmy, he was being handcuffed to a rail in the toilet by Fairchild. Fairchild reveals to Jimmy that Chazz did not sleep with Katie, which is why she would have to kidnap him herself to ensure things happen the right way. After locking Jimmy, Fairchild throw the keys in a rubbish bin nearby. A kid who came into the toilet knocked on the rubbish bin and ran off. Jimmy saw the key lying on the role of tissue paper. Having no choice and is determined to appear on the competition, Jimmy uses his mouth to pull the tissue paper alongside a lot of garbage. This is quite a shocking move as Jimmy is portrayed as someone who is a cleanliness freak.

Stranz kidnap Chazz and lock him in a storage room. Thinking there is no chance for him to escape, Stranz left after he tied Chazz. Not knowing that it is a place for Ice skating shoes storage, Chazz manages to cut of the rope, hop on a new ice skating shoe and skate his way to the stadium. Stranz then notices Chazz has break lose and chase after him. There were lots and lots of of wild goose chase. While chasing after Chazz, Stranz saw a crossbow and starts shooting at Chazz. However it slips and hit on the Games mascot.
The chase continues and ended with Chazz falling in to the thin ice under the bridge. Thinking Chazz has died, Stranz got back to the stadium and started their JFK and Marilyn Monroe’s action on the skating ring. It was a total hit and the audience totally love it.

Jimmy manages to escape and have been waiting for Chazz to appear in the ring. Jimmy then walks in to the ring alone, having faith that Chazz would appear. Seconds before both of them were disqualified from the event, Chazz appear. Before he joins Jimmy in the show, he shout out from far that he did not slept with Katie. Jimmy shouted back to Chazz telling him that he know what exactly happened.

They both make up and started their robotic act. Their opening moves makes the crowd go crazy. Seeing both of them do such an excellent job, Fairchild pulled her pearl necklace on to the ice. Chazz broke his ankle when he skate pass one of the pearl which enables him to perform the Iron Lotus as Chazz would have to throw Jimmy in to the air. Knowing that, Jimmy suggested to change position with Chazz. Having faith in their friendship, Chazz agrees even  when he knows Jimmy have not practiced any of the moves before.

When Jimmy threw Chazz up in the air, the crowd watch with excitement. They all cheered crazily when Jimmy and Chazz manage to pull through the act. The success of the Iron Lotus technique earns Jimmy and Chazz a win. Jimmy manage to patch things up with Katie while the Fairchild and Stranz was arrested for trying to kill Jimmy and Chazz and also hurting the Games mascot.

After receiving their gold medal, Chazz reveals a new tattoo next to the mysterious tattoo which symbolizes Chazz is no long a lone ranger. He now have a partner and that partner is Jimmy. Later, both of them blast off out of the stadium with the rockets from their skates. They both then creates a new sign in the air which shows their first awkward move, the crotch grab pose.

The show appears to end after the credits come out. But after a while, there are scenes of hector talking to himself. He is playing with Jimmy and Chazz figures in a doll house. The self conversation was hilarious with hector trying to make fun of how Jimmy didn’t even thank him for looking out for the loophole and now that he has Chazz, he has forgotten him.

———————————————————————————————————————–
Spoiler ends here.

It was a real funny show. I can’t stop laughing. There are some verbal jokes there and then, but it was pretty much the visually funny stuff that get everyone laughing especially Will Ferrell’s expressions. I really think he did a great job. There weren’t much action packed stuff. There isn’t much talking and it really does prove it doesn’t need a real high budget movie to entertain me.

Of course there were many mistakes there and there like the obvious stunts double. The ending scene where Chazz rip of his cloths to show Jimmy his new tattoo, but as they were flying out of the stadium, his cloths were brand new.

Well well, what can I say.. nothing is perfect! Now, this is really a show worth to see if you really wanted a good laugh. A real good one… and I mean it!

Hip Hop In Kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 09 December 2006.

Day 2 was less tiring, especially after a good sleep plus I have a cute kitty to accompany me for the night.
I thought I love waking up to the sound of waves, but I think I love the idea of it rather than the actual thing.
But I do love waking up and peeking through the thin white curtain looking at the beach view.
That feels just so nice 😍.

I am surprised that I actually morning call and  wake everyone else up.
Most of them can’t wake up since we partied too hard yesterday night or  should I say they drank too much 😂.
I am sure you all can imagine – me calling each room a few time and waited for them.
Surprisingly, only Prem is alert enough to go have breakfast with me. while the others slowly join us as they drag themselves out of the bed.

Breakfast is generally okay. The spread is pretty standard, but it’s the view that makes all the difference.
Having breakfast while looking at the calm sea with white sandy beach is just great.
Right after breakfast, I head back to room to rest, do some sketching while facing the beach.
Life is wonderful after all~

We then pack our bags, gathered at the lobby while we wait to check out.
We had fun in Kuantan and are all set to venture to Cherating.
Our journey to Cherating begins, and along the way we saw a lot of shops selling keropok, salted fish and best of all, keropok lekor. Sadly,  I never had any while I am there.

We then proceeded to check in to Holiday Villa Hotel which had a totally different experience from our Kuantan hotel.
We stayed in chalets that had this “kampung” feel. It’s pretty cool and  I get to have the whole chalet to myself.
We leave our stuff in the room, roll around the bed for a while and then go food hunting thereafter.

Kuantan is fun!

Guys, when I mention we had seafood overload, I really meant it.
Lunch is Y.U.M.M.Y! We try not to order too much seafood as Prem and Adrian would be bringing us to “THE BEST OF THE BEST” seafood in Kuantan later tonight.
So yes, we ordered lots of vegetables with some seafood in it.
I personally think it is hard to avoid any seafood given most dishes are cooked with seafood.
I must give a big shout out to the freshness of the seafood especially the prawns.
It was fried to perfection and the sauce was just thick enough to coat the prawns.
It is so crispy and juicy at the same time that, I ate the prawns as it is without peeling the shells!

Kuantan is fun!

After lunch is always the most torturing part, and it gets worst especially after such a filling and delicious lunch.
I felt like sleeping, but sadly we all have got to complete our final meeting for the day.
Hey, it’s not as fun as you see. We still have to work.
But well, at least we get to choose to work away from office and more freely when the mind is much fresher.

What happens after meeting?
What is best of the best seafood like?
What will happen that night?
Where are you guys partying?
Stay tune, you’ll see 😎

Let’s Party In Kuantan!

My little trip to kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 December 2006.

After a relaxing meeting by the beach, we go back to rest and shower before heading out to look for food.
Okay, let’s re-phrase – not look for food since Prem and Adrian have everything under control.
All we needed to do is get ready, hop on to the car and we are there.

My little trip to Kuantan

While I have no idea where are we,  I know I am somewhere nearby the dinner place since I saw quite a lot of shops by this road selling grilled seafood.
We stop by at this particular shop name Phuket.
Yup, I find the name quite interesting and reminded me as if I am holidaying in Phuket Island.
But who cares about the name, so long they serve good food since I am hungry.

We tasked choosing the freshest fish and how it will be cooked to Prem since he loves fishing and is the subject matter expert.
All we need to do is sit and order our drinks while we wait for the food to come.
The final step is to take some great food pictures and EAT!!!

The amount of food we ordered and ate that night is unbelievable .
We ordered 4 different type of fish, crabs, seafood tom yam and fried kangkung with squid.
So yes, we surely are experiencing seafood overload.

The grilled fish is simply amazing. While I don’t know what fish it is, they all tasted just so fresh and tender.
I like the crabs the most. I felt like eating all and order more.
Too bad, that is all the crab left so thankfully at least we get to try it.

By the way, did I mention most people in Kuantan think I am Korean?
Haha, I am not kidding. At least 2 or 3 person have asked me this since I am in Kuantan.

My little trip to Kuantan

While in Kuantan, we must visit Checker’s.
Yes, the one in KL also has a branch in Kuantan and MANDY IS HERE!
It is much more spacious here, and the ambience and sound system was super cool.
We all had fun hanging out, chit chatting, playing pool and listening to Prem’s remix.

After chilling out in Checker’s, we head back to hotel and our second round began.
According to Prem, the bar at our hotel is quite happening where youngsters hang out there.
They are very strict when it comes to dress code, but I manage to get away since all of them think I look like Korean and wouldn’t understand what they were talking about.
So yes, just act blur and just walk in!

My little trip to Kuantan

After our drinking session, we went back and knock out.
Since I have an extra space, I sneak in the little kitty from Loh’s car.
Might as well just adopt the kitty for 2 days since it is going to be left in the car anyway.
Yawn, I need to sleep since there are more meeting tomorrow.

My Little Trip To Kuantan

My little trip to kuantan

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 December 2006.

Finally, this is my very first trip to Kuantan.
I am quite excited since this is officially my first time setting foot in Kuantan (excluding Kijal trip).
This is actually Flare’s 1st Away Day, where Prem decided to bring us to his hometown for some good food and work while away from office with creative meeting.

We went there in 2 separate cars since Adrian went back earlier as he had to run errands back in Kuantan.
Prem, Azli and Zul went in 1 car while I was privileged whereby my my nearby neighbour, Loh came to pick me up.
Since we are the nearest to the Karak highway, we decided to have breakfast while waiting for them.
Even after we finished our breakfast we still have not gotten any updates from they guys.
We decided not to wait anymore and start our journey since Prem’s should be able to catch up since he drive very fast manner.

Loh made a quick stop for his ciggie break, and true enough the rest join in like 30 minutes later at the stop near to Kuantan.
When we reach Kuantan, we picked up Adrian and look out for places to have lunch.
But in Kuantan, there isn’t much place which is open for lunch.
According to the locals (Prem and Adrian), most of the good food only starts operating at night.
Hence we decided to head to the hotel, check-in and eat there.

My little trip to Kuantan

We had lunch at Hyatt’s main dining and there isn’t many people at that time.
There isn’t much options hence we ordered from the ala carte menu.
I personally think the food was OK, it wasn’t great but not bad either.
Prem, Zul and Adrian have Hyatt’s specialty fried rice which comes with a lot of fried chicken and satay while for Azli ordered chicken rice.
I think Azli loves chicken rice as I tend to notice he orders chicken rice quite often.
Loh tried their Thai Style Chicken which I didn’t had a chance to steal a bite but it does look tempting.
As for me, Stir Fried Sotong with Spring Onion. I find the dish is a little too sweet.
Yes, I taste sugar! and I don’t really like my food to be sweet.

Right after lunch, we head back to our rooms. While everyone are sharing rooms, I get the whole room to myself since I am the only girl in the office, and that spells privilege 👸.
After a short break, we head to the meeting room and started our creative meeting.

We played mini games to keep everyone alert and engaged.
The game is similar to “Win, Lose or Draw” and surprisingly, I won the game.
And to my surprise, I got rewarded with cash prizes. Haha, extra pocket money for the trip .
Yay! I am good at these guessing games. I pay attention, you know!

My little trip to Kuantan

After the meeting, we head to the nearest pub next to the beach at our hotel.
While chilling by the beach, we chit chatted and discussed about work a little.
And I think my brain seems fresher while sipping chilled pineapple juice, looking at the ocean and white sandy beach.
Now, I wish I could work like this everyday!
And this is not even half of what happened on the first day.
So stay tuned for the part 2.

Made In Hong Kong

Made in Hong Kong
Made in Hong Kong
Made in Hong Kong

A quick summary to my recent Hong Kong and Macau trip – fun, fun and fun.
Many people I have met told me there isn’t much to see in Hong Kong.
They asked why do I need to go so long. 2 or 3 days is more than enough to visit the place.

I beg to differ unless they just skim through  all the places or maybe city travel isn’t for them.
For me, I find a week too short. I don’t think I have even seen more than 20% of what I saw on TVB series.
While Hong Kong may seems like a small island, it doesn’t seems so for me.

I guess the fun moments when we were there were to identify locations where TVB series and HK movies were shot .
At the end of day 2, I guess Hong Kong is close to my heart as everywhere I turned to reminded me of TV series.

Sadly, I didn’t get to bump into Andy Lau or any celebrities.
Andy was so busy with his performance for the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong being returned to China.
But at least I am happy that we are in Hong Kong at this time and are accidentally am apart of the celebration.
It was a cool fireworks show and celebration, minus the amount of people .

Lan Kwai Fong is not empty as I expected it be. Not exactly empty, more  like less crowded with people.
But to my surprise, when I was there  the place is damn happening.
It was a street frilled with bars and clubs that are packed with people.
Glad that we manage to get a place, hang out a little and some photo taking for sure.
And for the first time, some people tried so hard to make it into my photos.

I was also addicted to the Gachapon machines that dispense toys stored in an egg shape capsule.
Every night I manage to fill up my bag and I end up with loads of mini figurines to decorate my glass shelf.

We also visited Hong Kong’s pride, the Ocean Park and Disneyland!
Both the big parks got me burning all my calories and fats.
OK, my bucket list ticked. And if only I get to meet Andy in Disneyland!
And last but not least, going to Lantau Island and enjoy the big buddha view is just amazing and breath taking.

As for Macau, I totally love it .
Macau seriously resembles Malacca since both of the place were conquered by Portuguese.
I love the vibes and I think I could stay there like forever.
I personally think the time spent in Macau is too short for me to see everything in Macau.
I will probably return to explore more and try more of their local food.
And Portuguese food rocks !

I have totally fallen in love with their famous Portuguese egg tart and Serradura.
One should really tried any of these when they visited Macau.
And yes, I am proud to announce that I have been to the spot where Goong (Princess Hours) Macau scenes were shot.
I went to the church where they both got married, sat at the bench where Shin were waiting for Chae Gyeung to arrive with the egg tarts.
As a Goong fan, we did our research before we even set foot in Macau! Don’t play play!

Thai Me Up!

I L.O.V.E Thai!
I L.O.V.E Thai~

This post is a teaser post since you will only see my Thailand post much later.
Here are some photos of where I’ve been to and what I was doing while I was in Bangkok.

I spent a lot of time going to temples and cultural places and spend slightly more time lepak-ing in some cool café.
It is quite hard to find such good and cool place to hang out back in KL.
Aside, we also spend a lot of time street searching for street food like Pad Thai and Thai Sausages 🌭.

While most of our nights were allocated for shopping.
Shop, shop, shop ! It’s natural that woman likes to shop. It’s in our blood!
Of course I visited quite an amount of markets that includes night markets and weekend markets.
Talk about the amount of walking I have done for the past week in Bangkok, it is quite scary.

Surprisingly, we didn’t give tuk tuk a try this time.
Why? No offence but there were too many scary drivers  that gave tuk tuk a bad name.
Most of the scary stories linger in our mind.
And during this  trip, they really leave quite some bad impression for us.
I will leave Nicole to tell you the story since she is really good in telling stories.

Vel Is Back!

vel is back

I am finally back from a  trip filled with fun and happy moments, but tiring .
To a point I think it is more tiring than work since I woke up way earlier and sleep much later than my usual days, while I walk around more.

It was fun and I am super psyched that I get to visit Disneyland.
While I didn’t get to see Andy in person, I manage to give his wax figure at Madame Tussauds a big hug .
I also manage to catch up on the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China.

I am also tanned from my one day visit in Disneyland.
I’m also broke from both the shopping spree in Thailand and Hong Kong.
I bought lots of clothes and house decoration items from Thailand and a major toy/figurine shopping spree in Hong Kong!

I wonder when can I replenish my sleep  and I start to miss my cuzzie now.
Sigh, how come her stay in Malaysia always seems so short!
Nicole, please come back more often and go holiday with me!

I am different which makes me weird. I over think which makes me over sensitive. I am not sensible which makes me not reasonable
